I have small wrists...was looking for a very motor-sporty watch with carbon fiber. Or any watched that were car-related or inspired. Say 3 grand price range...no more than 5k.

Help:bawling:

Ron

I just can seem to find a watch that suits me...

Okay if you're just buying a watch that's race inspired i suggest you buy it from a watchmaker and not a carmaker .... u want a watch that's worth the money and not just buying it b/c of a brand (i.e dun buy a versace // gucci watch but buy say an omega or tag) because they will be worht more in the resale market // better investment

any case, tell us what colors you want and we'll help you find one

I have a Panerai 24B. It is amazing how much the vakue of these watches has climed in the past 3-4 years. The big watch craze has pushed it where my little 105lbs wife wears my 44mm Panerai.

used around $3500

Here is mine with the STI as background wallpaper:

I personally really like IWC. Retail on them is terrible but the used market is pretty good.

I have tiny wrists BTW and these are both 44mm watches.

I by and sell watches as a hobby and it allows me to wear watches that I wouldn't normally get to afford. So as some one who spends a ton of time around watches, here is a bit of advice.

1.DO NOT buy a high end watch on ebay unless you can see it up close and or researched the living hell out of the fakes of the watch you want and the flaws to look for on a fake.

2. Forums a re great place to get really good deals on used watches. But ALWAYS check the sellers references BEFORE you buy (you will have to do a bank to bank transfer as payment)

3. DO NOT MEET SOME ONE IN A PARKING LOT WITH $2000-$4000 CASH IN YOUR HAND!!!!!!!!!!! You will make yourself a very nice target. Instead meet at a watch smith who will pop the back (ALL will since they see you as a possible service customer) to verify it is the real deal.

Best value in "high end" watches in my opinion is the Omega Seamaster auto- used. (Tags are nice if they are autos - NO battery)
Worst value is a brand new Rolex anything.
