Contemplating ESS TS3 upgrade, for which I need headers. Since my car is a right hand drive Z4, there are no off the shelf solutions. I understand a Z3M with an M3 cat will fit a right hand drive car.
So how do you think this will effect the sound of my car, remembering I have an ESS backbox on already. I don't want it to be overly loud or have that straight through noise.... I like deep, but not too loud :)

I would think it depends on what's between the headers and the muffler as to how loud it gets. Things like resonators, cats, pre-mufflers, etc.

Yeah I guess so. I'll try and get more info on the setup a fellow Z4 owner has.... he has put his car back to standard and will be selling...

Is your Z4 an m54 engined car?
I believe the UK e36 M3 headers should fit.
I have a couple of sets of these to try on my e46 330Ci.
The only difference is that the M3 has more studs on its head so the m54 head will need to be tapped and have extra installed.
I really need to drum up some enthusiasm and get this mod done.
Good luck with yours.

Simpsons motorsport fitted the Z3M headers with M3 cats to Tony`s previous race Z4. It took a bit of work though.......
I recommend trying a set of ebay headers from turborevs - they look great and only cost 140 quid!!
