I know of one or two people on here that had headers + TSE3, they both said it was loud as fcuk. :eek:

Please don't do this!! I wanted to do this real bad as well but after much researching it is just way to freaking loud, undriveable loud. If a cop was in a 5 mile radius they would go after you loud. Even with high flow cats it still just doesn't sound the same still really loud, but more importantly not the same TSE3 growl it is like the car gets a really bad case of the e46 m3 rasp. I think it has to do with the way our corsa resonators are made they are designed to eliminate certain sound frequencies and since it was tuned with our stock manifolds changing them makes these frequencies different and it cannot eliminate these new ones.

Well that video is of an e46 in Australia, they have euro style headers and the cats are not located in the header itself. So with installation of the TSE3 system he eliminated his oem cats and essentially making it a header+tse3 system.

I had a headers (no cats) with a tse2 exhaust that had the middle resonator removed. It was loud but the droning is what really bothered me. Does anyone know if the tse3 is quiter than a tse2 without the middle resonator?

just get the tse3 it's loud trust me but with a good sound i think if it was any louder it would get annoying really quick but uuc made it loud enough but not too loud

I had it on my 330, its NASCAR loud to the point where its INSANE. It sounds like you have no mufler, its HORRIBLE.

Yes i had the tse2 with a resonator delete along side headers (no cats). Sound was awesome other than the drone.

But here's the thing. I like loud exhausts. This is beyond loud. I'm not some wuss who thinks a ZHP exhaust is loud. I live in TX. Everyone here has a Harley or a F350 diesel putting down 700ftlb of torque with smokestacks coming out behind the cab. I know what a loud exhaust is. This is not a "cool" loud. This is an annoying, ear shattering, no one will ever ride in the car with you, loud.

Have you ever run a car with no exhaust? When I had my Talon, from time to time I ran open downpipe. My 330 was 10x louder than my Talon with no exhaust.

If you love it, great. I just don't see it happening.

I wish I would have listened when people told me not to do it. I would have saved quite a bit of heartache. And if someone tells you that welding in cats will take it down a notch, they won't.

That's because it goes beyond the range of the microphone. My dyno operator left the room when I pulled. He got pretty pissed off at the whole thing. The mic on my camcorder cut out, and it wasn't close to the car at all.

By ear shattering loud, is it anything like the Grand Am RX-8s? THOSE are EAR-Shattering loud at WOT. The Daytona Prototypes are loud, but it's a good kind of loud. If it's quieter than either of those, I'm fine with it.

So, you already have the headers? What kind? Definitely, make some before and afters. I already have a TSE3 installed, and I don't think it's loud at all.

I have the TSE3 and no one will keep this set up. IT IS TOO LOUD. The TSE3 has NO muffling agents in it. It is basically straight pipe if not tuned cancel the right frequencies. Anyone who does this will be very very sorry. :tsk:

Ok I have the exhaust on now. It is loud I will give it that. But if you are normal driving it is barely louder than the stock exhasut. The one thing that I dont like about the exhaust is it is to raspy for my taste, I like a throaty sound like the tse2 had. I have not decided if I am keeping it yet. But like I said under normal driving it is not noticble that you have an exhaust. As for videos I dont have a camera and I am trying to acquire one as we speak.

The first part of the vid is cruising at 70 mph and the second part of the video is an acceleration run, I couldn't realy gain traction in first and there was a damn truck in the way. Sorry that the videos werent better but it gives you a taste. I am going to try to post a video later of it compared to a 10 sec trans am.

I've got headers and Gruppe M intake and enjoy that nice rasp sound. I don't consider it too loud for my taste. Though, I'll be running a full exhuast setup w/ X-pipe, no resonators and Rogue DMS by the end of this summer.

Headers alone make a big difference. Much deeper in note but I get a somewhat annoying rattle around 2.5k-3k RPM. Wouldn't be a big deal but that's the RPM range I am usually driving in.

Nope, I paid. The rattle seems like it is coming from the rear. I think it might be the flap which I already checked the vacuum line and oiled.

Might be time to change out the OEM exhaust.

ah ya that can do it. Sometimes the exhaust hangers can come loose. Or even the plate underneath holding the mid point of the exhaust up.

Lost torque, Hp went up a little but it wasnt noticable. I am just running headers with stock exhaust now. Finding an exhaust that I like is to much of a headache.

It lost low end do to basically no backpressure. I am not arguind the backpressure thing. That is just what happend if you dont believe me go test it out yourself. Sorry I didn't dyno it, I dont realy have the money to throw away like that.
