Anyone with experience in AA kit in E46 M3, about their new intake manifold that appears to be a welded sheet metal (whereas the old unit was cast), is that a big deal?
Does that make the kit any less superior to the older manifold?

Old one looks much better. But i doubt that it make the kit less superior.

I think the new Looks better, I had the casted one in my AA kit, My friend Magnus has the new one and I think it looks better, the flow however is far from "superior"

I actually like the way the old one looks.... But i think the new one has better air flow.... Plus with the new one you can have NOS hooked up to each throttle body...:str8pimpi

They both look good in theire own way.
The older one looks like it might flow a little bit better. All in all, no big difference which one you have....

YOu can to a direct port setup on teh old manifold too, no difference.

How is it easier to put NOS in the new manifold as opposed to the old? It does not look tapped or anything, but a I not familiar with M3 FI/NOS

Absolutely no difference for nitrous.

I never have seen the orginal one but from what I see I think it provides a very good air distribution. All cylinders will get the same amount of air thus engin will be easier to tune. It won't increase your HP but tuning will be much easier when working on the AFR.
Runners are "short" and large it give a couple of HP at higher RPM.
