Water/Methanol Injection Kits

Hey Guys,

Im trying to find out information about the Water/Methanol injection kits you can buy. Are they worth while to install and do you get much power increase?? Just trying to see if its a good idea or not....

My car is a E46 330Ci running a Vortec V9 s/c. I have rebuilt my motor with VAC 8.5:1 forge pistons, connecting rod bolt kit, head stud kit, main stud kit, triple layer head gasket, cams, lifters and ported/polished head. Also have a aftermarket ECU, extractors/exhaust, air filter, intercooler and BOV.

Just search the web there are many kits available "methanol injection". There are many kit that work with a push button. But that for RVs ans SUVs. The difficulty is to calibrate the injectors in function of the rpm and the mainfold pressure using the ECU, so the processing is 100% automated. The better is to start with searching for a programming device that manages the W/M pump. Maybe the guy who has that unit already put together a kit.

Basically the W/M injection acts as a chimical intercooler. You increase your power by increasing the air breath by the engine. In addition depending on the setup, where you inject the liquide, you can improve the SC air sealing by 10%-20%. For instance on my SC Viper without W/M my boost was 6.5psi with the W/M it increased to 9psi !!!

On BMW the issue is to find a programmable ECU. I think AA has something available.

I think AAs operate based off of boost, but I'm not sure. That's how I want to roll.
