Ok, had the car in the snow , pulled out of the driveway and I think my cooler tube on the intercooler was too low, snow must have pulled it out because the car died a block away, every light came on...I was able to restart and drive for 10 second intervals...took it to a local garages and they said they reconnected the parts and now everything under the hood rattles and also the car sounds like it is engine braking like a truck, when I get off the gas there is a loud..blah blah blah blah sound, I have no lights on and cannot see anything that looks off. Can anyone give any thoughts? thanks.

Check your hoses for leaks again. You have a leak.

You might have snow and ice in your tubing also. Clean and thoroughly inspect the entire intake system.

:werd: Just check everything again thoroughly, sounds like a leak.

Yeah that happened to me too. My throttle body boot blew off 3 times in one night haha. Why do they have to make it out of silicone.

That was happening to me also, and I realized that the clamp I was using was bad, it was coming loose...

I Just used a clamp twice as big and AA gave me. And torqued the hell out of it. Its been good for 2 months now.

It is most likely something loose. Give me a call, and if I cant diagnose it, I will get one of my techs to figure this out.

You can also jack the car and double check that all the hoses and parts properly attached. I just sent 7 hours in the dirt and mud on my garage floor. The oil stick's o-ring was broken. I lost 3 qt oil ... I had to unmount and put back the SC pipes. I think I even did a better job then at the initial installation.

Maybe it is time to get familiar with your SC. It is really simple ... a couple of bolt and hoses.

I actually have some experience with blowers, I have a 92 mustang making 750 hp with a vortech, much easier to see everything, I cannot find much in this cramped space..lol..I am having a good friend and really good mechanic take a look, I am dissappointed though that the tube with the blowoff valve under the front, has all the chrome peeing off, it has only been on the car for 10K and does not really see any bad weather, this is the first snow it was in, it looks really cheap.. the one on my half the price vortech has real metal parts that are Chrom plated. I will look at everything though...anyone know where the weakest links are on this system? I am taking it that it is at the throttle body based on the one post.

Great glad you found the problem!! I was really worried about the possibility of the tubing catching some snow and ice in it while it was off. Hydro-lock not good!!

YEAH , ME TOO! I need to take the pipe off though, not happy with the chrome all half peeled off...very disappointed in that. I will have to sand it and I think I will paint it black with engine paint.

Just contacted AA and spoke to Craig Wong, I was asked to send digital pics for the chrome peeling off as the blower has a 2 yr warranty but all other parts are 1 year..., I still do not think that the chrome plating should peel like this, hopefully they stand behind their parts, we shall see...here is what it looks like after 1 yr 11 months hopefully it will be covered.

There is not much clearance below the car. I could not ride this setup here in Canada. We have way to much snow.

I agree that finish does not look good...But with it hanging down under the car like that...It must catch ALL THE SAND / SALT / etc. You can see your other OEM parts have also turned rusty, show corrosion, etc. It almost must get sand blasted with all the sand on the roads.

Maybe another finish option for the Northern states?

My kit here in Florida still looks NEW after 15 mos.

first time in the snow, cannot get like that after 2 days, plus the snow was only 1-2" and I did not drive until after they plowed, most chrome can handle that , I have chrome on a mustang I have owned for 18 years and have the blower on for 10, look like the day it was bought...this was not a proper plating job. looks like it was chinese made. the metal looks like cheapy pot metal...car has not been washed in two weeks but underneath is very clean for a NJ car that is 8 years old..I have also raised it another 1-2 inches higher now.

Yeah. my chrome pieces were all peeling off too.
I ended up taking them off, and brought them to a friend's shop where I sandblasted them.
Got them painted in a flat black so its more 'hidden' now

AA said they will make good on it and that I only need to pay the shipping. Funny thing was I did an oil change about 2K ago and it looked fine....I will refinish the old one and maybe see what I like better...
