You like rap, I'm a metal guy, to each his own :)
I think for the first time in my life, my jaw actually dropped from watching a video when I saw that thing nail 60-120 in such a time span on the levelIV setting. AMAZING. Damn I want a turbo kit for my 330Ci, any plans?
EDIT: Saw the sig pic of HPF Chris, Dec 08. You got PM :)

Its amazing. From what I can tell you guys do everything perfect. Even making videos... even though that doesnt have to do much with cars:shhh:. It just shows you that time and effort is put into everything HPF does. The shots of the 60-120 were incredible btw. I never knew it was that fast. Stage three must be insane:drool:

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression those shots were done on a dyno. If you watch again, you'll notice a distinct lack of wind noise (I know the M3 is quiet on the freeway, but not THAT quiet)

+1... Yeah accelleration on a dyno is way different than acceleration on the road...
Im sure you can get great video footage of 60-120 acceration of your stock M3, while in your garage and your rear tires liftes off the floor...
:str8pimpi
But still 600rwhp is 600rwhp.. cant mess with that...

The fourth map is disgusting... I was watching it in class and I think I saw my teacher see my jaw drop...:omg: Molten tires FTW!!!

this may be true but watch level I 60 to 120 than level IV 60 to 120....night and day! HPF just so professional with all the extras. great video and thanks for letting me be a part.

Yeah.. thats why i said that you just cant mess with 600rwhp.. Also at that HP & Torque range, tires do start to slip on the Dyno..

Nice job witht he video!
I love dyno speedo shots, they always look cool since they are so much faster then on the ground. The 600rwhp dyno speedo run almost looks like my car on the ground.

It shouldnt at that power level, spinning a dyno is more common with massive TQ like 700+rwtq and 1000+HP.

taza, tell me, can u get any sort of traction in the first 3 or 4 gears with 800rwhp? do you got to use 10 or 20 percent gas trottle? i got to ask this question cause i'm considering stage 3 before HPF ships my car back but if i can't put the power to the ground it may not benefit me. However, i like the 4 power settings that come with the kit so 800 rwhp might only be used only at a higher mph like highway speeds. thanks brian

Love the video !
How come the TRQ #'s are the same with pump gas + Meth and race gas only ?
That is level 2 and level 3 ..

It all depends on the tire.
Street tires (275/285 series) you will have trouble getting 4th and 5th down with 800+rwhp.
18" Drag radials, trouble in 3rd and sometimes 4th with 800+rwhp.
17'' Drag radials, if heated you can maybe grab 2nd but when they wear alittle, no more 2nd either with 800+rwhp.
Your car with 600rwhp and regular street tires will probably have no 1st, 2nd and most of 3rd.
Theres lots of options out there, i was using a low/high boost button on the steering wheel which switched boost levels for me whenever i wanted. But even in low boost (650+rwhp) i would have trouble.

Don't forget to factor suspension in there (which is HUGE!). My M3 hooked in 2nd gear on 19" street tires once the suspension was dialed and the tires were warm (at 600rwhp).

If you actually hooked 600rwhp on 19" 275/285 series street tires then i dont know what to say, my experience highly doubts that. Ive been experimenting for over 3 years now.
I couldnt even hook BFG DR's well with 600rwhp in 2nd gear back in the day. 1st gear is gone after you even break 450rwhp unless you have fat drag tires heated...
Ive gone through 3 different coilovers for my car, and have a great alignment guy that has played with my settings.

Traction will be a factor of sidewall and suspension. At 800rwhp, with 17" wheels and BFG drag radials at 20psi and a properly set up suspension, you can hook in 3rd gear. It will require you to launch over and over again, making small adjustments in both direction for all 4 shocks.
With the HPF stage 3, however, you can run pump gas (approx 500rwhp) most of the time, or have methanol in the tank (approx 700rwhp). When you run race fuel, it's time to swap the wheels and tires, or get the HPF widebody. :)
Or you can just pedal it (like everyone does with high HP cars). Just floor it until you're right on the edge of spinning, and back off the throttle to minimize wheel spin. Then keep your foot at that level until you're going faster and can apply more power to the ground.
Chris.

well i got 285's on and no rolled fenders cause suspension is stock. what could i do for suspension cause my tires are going to rub if lowered if im mistaken. really don't want to change tires or rims cause there brand new.

So you basically agree with what i said. 17'' drag tires you can hook 3rd, if they are not worn out and if its not really cold out. This is all with experience, i played with 850rwhp for a year with lots of different setups.

Chris.
On this car its easier said then done, you lose hard once you hit boost. Its very tough to modulate boost at that level.

All I can say is the crew at HPF is killin' it for the BMW F.I. community!!
For being in the game not very long at all, you guys have proven a force to be reckon with!!

Now I dont know that much about FI or traction issues but would lowering your gearing down not help at all. It seems like the closer you could get to hooking in lower gears the faster your acceleration would be. I guess it would damper the accel high up but would it really be that bad. Also what gears are everybody running. The stock 3.64?

It's actually the opposite. Running lower/closer gears will cause your tires to break loose easier.
