yupps. You must have proof of all 3 identifications with you at all times when operating a vehicle

im sure if u mail a copy in it proves that u had your car registered at that point in time...in ny if you don't have your insurance card, you can mail it in and they let it slide....

what happened 2 me was i didn't have my registration so they gave me a ticket you have 2 goto court to proof you do have a registration and everything should be cleared the fine gets taken away or if you payed you should be getting your money back

Getting towed for an expired registration is a no brainer, and is expected.

I was once pulled over by a NJSP on 78 for 84 in a 65. Nice trooper, too bad I didn't have my registration paper on me (had taken it out to photocopy for something). He wasn't aware the fine for no registration paper had gone up, he claimed it was a "small fine". Went to pay it, and yes, it was a "small fine" a few months prior. It was now $180. BUT, like the clerk correctly pointed out, it was better then getting a speeding ticket.

In NY You HAVE to have your insurance card on you at all times, if you dont have it then you get a ticket, you can mail it in to get out of it. You do not need to have your registration on you, only on the car windshield, but if you dont have it on you, you may annoy the cop because its more work for him without a copy of your reg.

You were going 10mph over the limit; the cop did his job by pulling you over. You didn't have your registration.

hmm he must live in the area- he was behind me until her turned into the street right before where u got pulled over.

on my way to work today i so thought i was gettin hit: cop was sitting in that little circle on springfield ave probly right about where he was hiding out when he saw you... i pass him, he pulls out. im like ****. seatbealt goes on. im thinking hmm which front plate story to use today. he follows me to the light, gets right behind me, im makin a left, light turns green- he turns right after me. im just waaaitin for the cherries. i drive thru town with him right behind me thinking hmm where is a good spot to pull over lol. i get to the next light and get in the left turn lane to park in my deck. he stays in the stay straight lane but is right next to me at the red light. awkwardness. i look over to my right and catch him lookin at my wheels. he looks up and right at me and smiles. i smile back and wave lol.
