Hi all, first post here but I've been on Bimmerforums for a while.

I'm looking for a 4-door BMW, and an FI 325i should be more than enough for my needs(desires?).

I'd like to see some actual dyno charts of FI'd 325's, please. Couldn't find much in search, or I was using the wrong search terms.

Not looking to make the E46 into a supercar, just want it to pick up speed more quickly. The dynos on the ESS site look like ESS are the way to go (TS) with the torque gain down low. Love the area under the curve on the ESS dynos!

Oh yeah, no "buy an M3" posts, please. We will soon have 2 infants and two carseats, and I need 4 doors. Also, E36's are too old, I want to stick in the '00-'04 range.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks, I came across quite a few of your posts while searcing, but not that one.

Your torque numbers seem quite low compared to even the 2.2L dyno file on the ESS site? Also, the ESS dyno files don't cross at 5252, do you know why?

I had a centrifugal supercharger from AA. The one from ESS is a Twin Screw supercharger that builds up much more torque down-low compared to CF SC.
The lines do not cross @ 5252 as the torque is measured in Newton-Meters.

Ah, I didn't see you had a CF. I saw the scales were the same on ESS's site and assumed the lines should cross. I guess reading comprehension owns me :-)

So those runs with the 540 were with a CF? Nice.

Do you happen to recall seeing any threads with dynos from 325's with an ESS TS being posted?

Thanks,

Mike
