Hi.
I have a VT1 kit on my 330 -02. And I have the old setup with, old software the resistor on MAF and the FPR vacum hose on the F-connector.
And i wonder if I could move the FPR vacum hose tho the manifold to get better vacum without uppgrading to the new software. Will I gain in performance or not. To Cut out the resistor on the MAF I understand I need the new software.

Or someone else maybe know anything.

Best Regards Jesper!

i dunno why you want "better vacuum" vacuum as far as my knowledge lets me know, just acts as a signal for different things to happen (bpv etc)

you can get your vacuum from anywhere you want. i cant imagine getting any performance from something like that.

yes you will need new software if you want to switch to the "new way"

what exactly do you want out of this "mod"? softwares strong points are increased redline and doing away with the dip at 4k

Yes of course I understand that I will not get like 30 whp more. But I have heared that the old connection to the F-connector isn´t as good as to hook it up directly to the manifold because you don´t get a prober vacume with the blower like stock without it.
A more liner vacum curve I think result in better fuel pressure and smother run. Or am I wrong?

The old software should not have a vacuum compenated FPR system.

What do you mean could you explaine better. Compenated?

I meant compensated.

Just leave it as it is designed, you will get a weird driving car if you connect the FPR vacuum hose to the intake manifold with your software version.
