S/C z06 built motor --- Turbo 2JZ GS300

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-2ANRY_avY

1st run stage 2 mode
2nd run stage 2 mode
3rd run --- I really jumped the gun but stage 1 race mode
4th run stage 2 mode my clutch was really overworked with over ten runs back to back-- so the clutch needed some cooling down
5th run -- BACK down to stage 1 mode

I made a switch which i checked with JP from HPF to turn on and off meth. :)

Ok, so the question, what were you running? Fuel, Stage etc....

With that setup, he is probably around 525hp I believe on pump depending on the tune. So he is probably around 425rwhp.

Run a GT700 on pump, and you on pump..love to see more of that stuff!

996 turbo was on race gas but his car wasn't running right. We're going to do a rematch when its fixed.

TT zo6's-- If want to come up, i'll come out and play or if you know someone up in my neck of the wood have them pm me.

yeah that vette is definetly not a stock block. He wouldn't say what he did to it, but I'm quiet sure its built with a supercharger n more.

I'm really impressed and VERY VERY happy with my HPF kit. I mean what other kit is there can can leave the stock internals and literally RIP almost any car on the road yet alone retain stock like drivability. If you watch the first run you can't tell I was flooring it until I let off the gas to then hear a ROOOAAAR hard working Z06 fly by.:thumbsup::thumbsup: to HPF!! Saving up for my xmas present --- STAGE 3 --stealth mode ( I like quiet )

I don't think Evoms run Garrett BB turbo's on their kits, but I'm not postivie.

Edit:

Actually they do, lol. If he beat a 750 that's insanity.

Correct me if i am wrong but i believe the 996TT that was run here is actually a GT700. When he put in the race gas, he put in 110 leaded on spark plugs that were near the end of their life span, and the lead in the fuel finally killed them. This caused his car to sputter pretty much from 3rd gear on. When his plugs are changed, it would be a completely different race! A local guy here in AZ has a Stage 2 HPF car and ran an EVO GT660 car and the HPF won, but not by much. I would venture to say that when the GT700 is running correct, he should pull on the M3. Not to take anything away from the Amazingly fast cars that HPF is building!! Great runs, cant wait to see more vids!!!!

Yes, that is him. hahahaha! good to see others over on 6speed!!

I have a lot of time spent inside porsche turbos, and when the plugs go bad, the car will run perfectly fine untill you go WOT with high load, at which point, they just give out! car just sounds like a machine gun, and makes no power what so ever. They also will just miss fire at idle if they are really bad. keep us updated on the rematch!!

I was ONLY running 118+ leaded fuel on my car and my plugs would react to them. The car would stutter at WOT (like a machine gun), it would feel like its losing 200-300hp but then after i try it 3-4 times it feels like it clears up and goes away. I dont know if the Porsche will do that but it makes sense that it should.

Taza, i personally have never experienced anything like that with the Porsches but not to say that it couldn't happen. if i remember the post that was made on 6speed, he had some decent mileage on his plugs before he went to the race gas. So it could be that they were weak and with the added lead residue, they just crapped them out.

Hey guys,

I am the owner of the 996 TT. As some people mentioned on here, my car was not running right by any means. It felt like I lost at least 200hp. Anywhere above 4500 rpms the car would just sputter and it feels like someone is choking it. It definetely has to the plugs and leaded fuel. Anyways we***8217;ll have to run again soon.

We're still young, man. We have the advantage of wisedom on our side now. If I had a car like this at 20, I would surely be dead now.
