Looks like there is now a GB for Silver CF! woo hoo!
http://forum.e46fanatics.com//showthread.php?s=&threadid=66556
OK guys.. i dont mean to bash on anyone but the I was only marginally satisfied with the interior trim package I purchased from Fiberdesigns...
the dash pieces are actually pretty good, except for one of the pins wasbroken when it arrived. Overall, the finish is quite nice except for a few inconsistencies in the fiber itself.
The armrests are another story all together. While the overlays technically fit, they dont fit well at all. Towards the rear of each armrest, the overlay extends about 1/2 an inch beyond the original armrest. Kinda hard to explain but the profile looks like someone who is wearing a baseball cap thats too big. Ill post pictures later. Also, where the mirror control is, the overlay makes the whole armrest surface too tall, and prevents the 4 way switch from articulating freely... I have to push really hard to move the mirrors in one direction, and am sometime afraid that I will eventually bust the switch off.
The Center console piece does not fit a carbiolet at all because the switch holes are not big enough to accommodate another button on verts.
The reaer armrests do not even come close to fitting a cabriolet, because the armrests are completely different in convertibles.
All told, I spent over $60k on a car and regret that I didnt do the right thing and buy a better quality product. Im not really sure I would spend the money on the AC Schnitzer stuff as it is gawdawful expensive. I dont have any of Carbonworks stuff, but a friend has some of the stuff in his E46 coupe and it looks flawless. I dont know how much more (if any) their stuff is, but I'll probably give it a try once I can scrape together the funds.
