newark is the shittiest, smelliest, most god forsaken place i've ever been, but its only about a 30 minute drive to the city.

DO NOT GO TO PACHA ON A FRIDAY UNLESS YOUR 18-23 ish..

I live here and this is one the coolest things I've done that involved sight seeing. I took my GF on it and both of us absolutely loved it.
It's a little pricey, but worth every penny.
I went at night, I think it would be a little better if the sun was still a bit out. You can try to make it right for sunset for the best view, the city will still be lit up so you can see everything, but everything will look absolutely incredible.
*EDIT* As far as Pacha goes, I hate the damn place. I'm 21. It's packed, it's smelly dirty and dingy. I've been clubbing since I was 15 (teen nights) and I have been to all the super clubs in NYC. If you want to go clubbing, PM me and I will let you know of some promotions for smaller but much nicer clubs.

lol also pretty high crime rate in certain parts of newark, so don't get lost not to scare ya or anything... um....
I'd have to say depends on what you're into, food, site seeing, music, parties.
You have to try Gray's Papaya, not what it once was, but might as well try an NY hotdog, there's a few around the city depending where in the city you are....

seaport is boring man. Nothing is really there, except A&F.
Generally, NYC is boring.
and please, don't go down to Chinatown/Little Italy. lol you'll regret it. Theres a million people there, and nobody is really doing anything but just standing around. It takes me about 1/2 hr to walk 5 blocks. :tsk:

Hey guys, came back couple days ago, figure i tell you how it all went!
I ended up staying around eastchester with my sister in law. i had 3 days to myself just to hang out, and most of that time i found myself in Greenwich, there was always something to keep me busy. The people there are not like here, which was a nice change...
I didnt do any of the site attractions i planed, driving was a B*TCH, for the first couple of days. did alot of walking when i got into town. To be honest i thought i was going to get mugged but not at all, i mean yea there were some shady places i walked faster than others but nothing like what friends here told me, ahah
I want to come back and do more, not sure how my summer is looking now, but i wish/want to squeeze in another trip back again! That city is awesome!

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, next time you definitely need someone who knows the city to show you around, you will have a lot more fun! :hi:
