Hello,
Just checking FIRST...Thought this would be a good place to check (FI section).
My car has about 37K miles on it. Spotless (always garaged). Needs nothing. Has about everything AA sells on it. See my SIG.
May be selling my truck (daily driver / bad gas mileage) and this car to buy a four door (maybe an 08' M3). Need something that can do car seats easily! lol
What is a good price to take IF I am NOT in a hurry.
Thanks!

what other options does it have? ZCP, ZPP, oem navigation, PDC, etc? those and mileage effect a cars value more outside of the mod world for resale. however since this car would get more cash if sold to a fanatic who knows what kind of mods you have you could get a good amount. more info would help basically

OEM Navi and sunroof. I am pretty sure that is it.

No thoughts on what it would go for?

start at 40-45? :dunno:
Ever since the new M3 came out, our E46's have dropped in price as far as trying to sell them. And alot of times you can only count so much of your mod's into your sell price.

55-60k..
I remember hearing about an N/A Vorsteiner sponsored car go for 53k with around your mileage. So u can get more than that for being S/C'd. But then again that car had 8k in brakes. But dont even let your car go unless u get at least 60k. We both know how much money it costs to keep a S/C'd M3 in perfect shape with the supporting mods

Honestly, because theres no BBK listed and the rest of the supporting mods are fairly "rudimentary" its going to be tough to upsell it based solely on mods. Figure out what the car is worth stock. Figure out what you can sell the parts for (factor in removal costs and stock replacements if you'd have to get them) and add that value to the car. If that is over say 45k, look into parting the car out and selling things separately.
I personally wouldn't want to pay over 40k for a SC'd M3 at this age/mileage, and would probably have trouble justifying that much. I know I could buy the car stock in good shape for 30k or so if I looked around enough, and get a good deal on a SC kit and be in the same boat with a little fresher engine.
The supporting mods become a wash, they are nice, but they are used at this point so its a hard sell.
I faced the same thing selling my car and parted out, turns out I would have been better trying to sell modded, so its a game of who is looking as well.
BTW, not trying to crap on your thread, if you want me to delete/edit something just PM me.
Edit, I should have given the range I thought would be a fair starting point.
38-42, somewhere around 40 is probably appropriate, but again, depends on the buyer more than anything.

I am not sure you can find an undamaged, near mint 05' for 30K...Also, the AA kit has less than 5,000 miles on it. INSTALLED by AA too (all of the parts).
Thanks Bimmerdude for being kind and offering to remove the thread. No need as we may not agree on all parts BUT are close in price! I was thinking the same range...But due to the economy and the new model out.
BTW...I sold my STOCK 02' with 22K miles on it for 28K 6 months ago! The car was also perfect.
Thanks for the comments!
I now have to make up my mind...

I now have to make up my mind...Yeah, what I've discovered with cars, is that year doesn't matter too much once the new model is out, options, condition, and mileage are what matter. Ex....96-99 M3 coupe will draw about the same even 2-3 years ago because they are practically the same car, owning the newer year of an older version sucks (I'm facing it in my car as well).
Do you have good records of all service, etc.? That can help a lot.
Again, I personally wouldn't pay 40k, but I think you can find someone else in the area who would.

Wouldn't let it go for under 45k

The warranty is good (BMW) until November of 2007. My local dealer (Brian is my tech) has not voided it since the install was by AA themselves.
I have a BINDER with anything that was EVER bought for it. Over $30,000 in receipts. IF I sell, someone will be HAPPY. The previous owner (Darren) was meticulous...
