Anybody notice that their alternator tensioner moves a lot?

Ever since I have upped my boost I noticed that the boost seems to die out after 5500 rpm. I went to a smaller belt but that does not seem to resolve the issue. Then noticed that the alternator tensioner seems to move a lot. Is it possible that the extra load caused by the supercharger wears it out?

Most other makes of car that run a centrifical blower above 8 PSI use an 8 rib pulley system.

Me thinks your belt is slipping...
