Got my AA S/C, will be installing it this weekend

Jean, at AA, came through. After a month of wait time, I'm finally getting it done. The install is this weekend, please PM me if you want to come by just to check out if you're local. My webcam is located at www.powercx.com/e46/

If you decide to chat with me, I probably won't get to it, at least not as fast since my hand will be dirty and I don't want my keyboard to get dirty.

Camera 2 and 3 is controllable, up and down, side to side, except the Night Vision Camera mounted to view the engine bay which is Camera 4.

Sound is available, and if there is too much people looking at it, there might be a lag. Streaming Sound, Video and Chat might bog down my home server. Handle with care. I'm on Pacific Time. Not sure when I'll be installing the S/C on Saturday, but standby.

that is awesome. are you going to be recording your installation process or just webcaming it up so people can stay up to date with your progress. Congrats on the purchase and have fun with the install.

My install was finished today and I've been driving up until 10 minutes ago (it 23h30 here) I've used half a tank of gas already and I'm in heaven... adrenalin rushing through my veins... gonna pass out soon and sleep like the dead...I'm so spent from the rush of it.

I cannot explain how awesome the feeling and the SOUND is... don't believe all the "no nice blow off sound" blurb about charger... they have a very different and very deliciously evil sound

They have to pretty much make the thing, order parts and get it ready for me with a checklist. That's why it's a month after I order it. That's ok though, cuz it's perfect timing. The wife and kids is gone on vacation for a month, so I have a month to have fun. PM me on sunday, that's when it'll be broken in. I have Blackberry, so whenever I get a PM, it tells me I have a PM. I reply pretty fast.

No go on the tranny swap. I got a wife who can't drive stick, or she can drive stick willingly if I were to buy her BMW 650. I got an expensive wife, what can I say. I'll just have to save up to pay her to shut it, cuz I know she'll be complaining about how much money I spent on my other girlfriend (my car).

Hey powercx I noticed you had Auto software. Would you mind giving me your thoughts on the software. Is it worth the money any noticeable differences in acceleration??

Having trouble taking the fan off. I don't have the repair manual. Anyone here know how to take the fan off? It has a fan clutch, it's the engine fan.

Oh well, we got the whole front off. The whole front assembly is on top of my engine bay. lol. Not sure if you can see it in the dark, but one of the camera is an infrared camera. So far so good, got the belt out, so tomorrow, we'll just need to put the supercharger in and oil cooler and intercooler and the whole front assembly, and other things. We should be done tomorrow. I hope.

It's not about the acceleration on the automatic software upgrade, it was more of a faster shift between shifts. It also kept the gear longer when its in S Mode. Which is helpful if you are flooring it and you had to slow down, then gun it again.

I got bloody knuckles and dirt in my eyes. Its better to have the engine off the bay, it's rather tight. Got to take off the skid plate to get one of the vacuum valve in from underneath the car. And some other trouble we encountered during the install. The instruction is good enough if you know what you are doing, but since we haven't done it on an Inline 6, it was hard to get stuff in a tight space. The engine is really close to the firewall, so you have to take a lot of stuff out of the way.

I want to add, the injectors are hard to take off, and the one that came from AA, you really need to space it out and I'm glad they provide all the stuff for it. Otherwise, it doesn't fit directly.

I hope I remember how to put everything back together. :yikes:

I'm going to finish it today. Then break it in by tomorrow. Should be all ready by Sunday. Just have to install the pipe and belt today. The SC, Intercooler and Oil cooler is installed.

Yup, finished it today, dyno'ing it tomorrow (monday), 1/4 track day on wednesday at Infineon Raceway, and July 11th is Thunderhill Track Day.

All I got to say is, Holy Cow. The power is continuous, it is fast. Scary fast, even on Auto. I finished at 5pm today, break-in begin, had trouble with the leak from the oil cooler, tighten it up and good to go. By 8pm, I had it broken in. Drive around some more to make sure no leaks, done by 11pm from Adrenaline Rush.

Took us 20 hours total, 2 weekends and lots of Soda. Power gained is scary, that's all I got to say. Check Engine Light is on, for now, not sure why, but I have to do a reset or something with the key, not sure how.

Glad you like it, I personally thought the amount of power gained sucked.

Got lots of Hose coming off from engine torque, that's one of the reason why the CEL is on. There is more torque now, more power on top end and I can hear the blow off valve purging. Fun.

No idea yet. Dyno didn't happen today. Got too many CEL. Finally the CEL is fixed, so might have to make another appointment.
