I know some of you have been following my ICV issues and nothing has been resolved to date so I'm going to post another thread and see if any of the reputable sponsors/members can help me out.
My car is throwing a ICV (Idle
Speed Controll Valve) and my car goes into limp mode (EML light along with the ACS and DSC lights). This problem only occrus when im letting off the gas in low RPMS such as 1K-3K. When im above 3K RPM this problem doesnt not occur, so basically highway driving and keeping the foot on the gas at all times is the only way to prevent the car from going into limp mode. i did a dyno after the install and here are the results:
228rwhp

I have checked the HFM volt for the resistor and it reads about what Samir said. There is also an EGS code which doesnt make sense since the car is a manual and not automatic.
Here are some facts about the car:
2002 325ci
M54B25 MS43
Stock headers, 2.5'' Exhaust
If anyone can shed some light on this, i would greatly appreciate it. I would also like to thank AggieE46, MarvelPhx and TxZHP04 for all their help and input. They give me more support than Samir who wants to charge me $100/hour for tech support.

Those numbers seem low... do you have an AFR reading too?
I'm not sure about the ICV, but has it been changed? Also is the proper hose connected to the intake pipe from the ICV? Does the car idle fine?

i will get an AFR ASAP.
We changed the ICV twice, car idles perfectly fine. Not too sure about the hose, can you let me know how i can check this and report back?
I should of also mentioned this: The car stalls at times (very rare) when I'm coming to a stop or if i push 1st gear and neutral it quickly and the RPM drops and all the lights come on. Pretty unsafe since the power steering cuts out and i have to turn it back on quickly.

The black rubber hose that connects to the ICV should be routed somewhere in to the intake piping before the throttle body.
Do you have a ltw flywheel?

i checked all the hoses, clamps and everything seems tight. No ltw flywheel either.

hmmm... I don't know what the intake pipe looks like on the ASA kit, but I remember beanfree having problems with it, causing a stalling issue as well, I think he had it fixed by redesigning an intake for it. However, I'm not sure if his issue was related to the ICV.
I'm not sure if it's possible, but can you get a pic of the intake pipe leading to the TB where the ICV hose connects? I don't know if it makes a difference, but I noticed that on both of the intake pipes I've used with my SC kits, the ICV hose connects to the intake pipe at an angle facing away from the TB.
btw, you're running 38lb injectors on 8psi?

i just went out and took some pictures, let me know if they help:

FYI - In the second picture, you can see some cracks in the intake hose.
Also, i just checked with my shop and they injectors are actually 24lbs.

FYI - In the second picture, you can see some cracks in the intake hose.
If this is after the MAF, which I believe it is, it is cricitical that you replace the intake hose as you are likely drawing unmetered air into the system.
In the first picture, is that intake hose going to the compressor really doubled over on itself the way it appears to be?

I will replace it right away, where can i buy a good one? do you recommend buying this one from Mike Benvo? http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=580831
Yes the intake going to the compressor is doubled over . You think this is making me loose all the HP? http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/5638/hpim1584in0.jpg

I'll have to defer to someone with experience with your particular kit on these questions but that entire intake looks like a mess to me.

Your intake hose looks terrible. I sent you a PM.

:werd:
That intake needs some work. If Mike is selling one that came off of his car, I'd definitely look in to it. The coupling elbow that is connecting the intake to the blower should not be folded like that, and the rips in the hose are not helping at all.. like TxZHP said, unmetered air is getting in to the system.
I think the problem with the intakes on these kits is that the crankcase vent aims towards the MAF.
In the last picture, that blue hose connects to the ICV right?

MBenvo is going to ship out the intake hose tomorrow and i will replace it as soon as it comes in, i will also relocate the MAF per Mike's suggestion.
Do you know how i can fix the coupling elbow which is connecting the intake to the blower so it doesn't fold?
Yes the blue hose is connecting to the ICV.

I would cut the coupling shorter so that it either slides down on to the intake pipe and smooths out the fold, or you can cut the side that attaches to the blower a little shorter which would also help smooth it out. It's hard to tell from pictures what would work best, but you can eyeball it or have your mechanic do it for you.

Thanks a lot man, i will have my mechanic take care of this. I will wait for the parts from Mike Benvo and see what happens, hopefully this will fix the low HP numbers and also the EML issue.

Bro, I use to have this problem... First thing, what software are you using for your ECU? As I am running a custom ECU reflash, my tuner raised some parameters in the throttle map and this problem went away. Hope this helps.

I have to say that 228 RWHP is low with 8 PSI... I dynoed more (around 245 RWHP) with my 6.5 PSI pulley on a dyno that gives very low numbers compared to other dynos (maha dyno).
Hope you can solve your problem ASAP!

Update:
Got Mike Benvo's hose and installed, changed the elbow and the car feel's a lot better and there seems to be more power. The sad part is that the car still goes into limp mode and throws the Idle Speed Control Valve.

Since you've changed the ICV multiple times to no avail, and assuming it's installed properly, I would recommend that you check the integrity of the wire harness from the DME to the ICV and throttle body. Make sure the connections are secure, no exposed wires, no broken wires, terminals haven't pulled out of the connectors, etc.

I knew that wouldn't work
I still think something isn't right with the install
