Guys, I just had a set of Jbl gto 5.25 splits installed in my car. And i cant tell you how disapointed i was. They running of the deck.
Wat sound do you guys have?
And who does a good installation in jhb?

Stock Business CD HU, 450Wx4, 400Wx2 Pioneer 6x9 custom mount on the rear deck, 12'' Pioneer VCCS sub keeping the boot warm...
Next up will be eiter powering the fronts in the doors till they blow, or custom mounting something whack in their place.
The rear is totally overpowering the front at the moment.

Get rid of the stock deck - that alone will make a huge improvement.
Or get an amp.

I ve done a complete kenwood system, and i cannot tell u guys how happy i am now.
5. 1/4 splits up front (2nd from the top)
7x 10 3 way at the rear (top of the range)
4 x50 amp (2nd from the top)
standard business deck.

compaired to merc CLS H.K and logic system sounds cleaner and more bass.
sounds crisp

Nice setup.. I'm now aiming for year end for stage 1 of my ice install

Am looking at:

ROCKFORD T600-4 AMP (Full Range)
ROCKFORD T1500-1 AMP (Bass)
ROCKFORD PEQ PUNCH BASS
ROCKFORD P3D215 SUBS x 2
ROCKFORD T162S SPLITS x 2 (Front Stage)
ROCKFORD T162C COAX x 2 (Rear Stage)
ROCKFORD RFC10HB CAP
ROCKFORD RFC4X 4AWG KIT

I will look at screens and a PS2 a little later on, this will run off the stock head unit for now but I'll do some iPod integration.. later on I'll do a DVD player, front screen, roof mount screen and 2 x boot mount screens..

Riaaz at Loud and Clear.... they did the RF install on my Land Cruiser.. with screens for my kids and bog bass for the dad :)
