Is there a way to tell, with out removing my oem head unit, wether or not I have the satellite radio? I want to buy a dice hd radio but not sure wether or not I need the satellite harness, and really dont want to disassemble everything right now to check the back of it.
I own a 2005 325i with winter and sports package, but not with the HK sound system. It is wired in the trunk for a 6 disc cd changer. If any of this info helps.
Thanks guys

Hold the M button on the radio so the display cycles through. See what software (S/W) version the radio is. If it is SW code 50, then it is a SAT-ready radio.

Turn the radio on and then turn it off. Then hold down the M button until it starts going through the cycle.

I think I finally got something to scroll through... the sn, and the sv.... and some other things.... never saw an sw though, I hit the m and power buttons simulatiously or something to make this happen lol.....
I tried turning it on then off then holding down the m button but nothing happened...
the sv # was 44-04 43
my car is an 05 but was manufactured in 04 I believe, it should be sat ready correct?
