KW V1 shock removal?

I want to buy KW V1 susp but read that you have to take off the shock to adjust the height in the rear. can anyone confirm this, or were they mistaken. Thanks for the help. :dunno:

My buddy Evan is selling his KWs if you're interested.

I have KWs as well, but I didn't do the initial install/adjustment. I've also heard that that with some coilovers you must remove the shock in order to get enough clearance to use the spanner wrench to adjust them. Not sure sure though.
