ok so i have pretty much narrowed down my choice to a magnaflow or highline muffler, mostly becuase of the price (shipping will be an arm and a leg to get over from the states so i had to go cheapo)

Which one will be louder? What's the difference between notes? I dont want anything too loud, all i really want to do is change the factory exhaust note and give it a little bit more sound. I dont want it to sound obnoxious either. I've heard quality are pretty good on both products and it really comes down to the sound of them. I have watched vidoes but they really dont do an exhaust justice and there are unique characteristics to the sound of an exhaust that microphones pick up. Which exhaust has the most character and by character ill use the M3 for example. The rasp gives that note character. Are there any specific features of these mufflers that stand them out from the crowd? which one will be the best sounding one when you start the car? I have heard a TSE3 light before, and i dont want it to be louder than that

cheers guys

Get the Highline and if it's not loud enough for you then remove a resonator or two. The Highline mufflers look much nicer than the big fart cans of the universal Magnaflows.

they have a crazy amount of tips.. personally ive been very pleased with my magnaflow man. i have straight pipes now def loud enough when i removed1 of my resonators and sounded very deep. ive heared the highline plenty of times and it sounds good, but def not worth the cost.

heres a picture of my "FART CAN" magnaflow tips now (3.5 inch double walled tips. straight pipes no muffler. and these tips CAN be ordered with the muffler.

Did you run all new piping or did you just get the resonators cut out and weld in new piping? So no resonators or muffler?

Edit: BreakMyWallet, I'll pm you

A 323 has a single inlet pipe. Are you converting to dual piping?

ill just get a Y pipe connector. The highline will cost more becuase its already more expensive to start off with and then it will cost more to instal due to the Y pipe, thats why i want to know if it will be 400 dollars or so better than the magnaflow

I guess it just comes down to which sound you like better and how much money you would like to save/spend.
