Hey all, I have a question. I want to get my speakers replaced with new ones, but I am not sure of the sizes on each. The guy at circut city said that one of the speakers in the door couldnt be replaced if it blew or somthing.. Im not sure which one hes talking about? I have 2 10 inch kicker comp vrs in now and the bass takes over much of the sound.

One more thing, does anyone know if a single 15 inch sub would fit in the trunk? I highly doubt it, but if anyone has it done could you maybe show me your setup?

Thanks a bunch, Ethan

Fronts are 6.25" midbass, 2.5" midrange, and I think 1" or .75" tweeters. The 6.25" speakers are an odd size that most manufacturers do not make so what some recommend is cutting into the door panel and mounting a 6.5" midbass for better response and punch.

sure you can fit a 15" sub if you do a custom box, but if ur concerned about 2 10's overwhelming your mids and unless you don't care about trunk space, then i wouldn't recommend it. what are you powering the door & rear-deck speakers with? not the factory amp and wiring setup i hope:confused:

I honestly have no idea, I would guess so. I guess that would explain why the sound doesnt seem as loud as it did before the subs were installed? the 10s are running off a 400 watt kicker amp, not much but it gets the job done.

hmm, are you saying that you replaced all of your mids? or just added a couple of woofers? if you replaced the mids with aftermarket, and are still using the factory amp to power them, it won't sound as loud since the factory amp and speakers are wired to run at 1-ohm (so i've heard), and most aftermarkets are 4-ohm.
