Just got my 05 ZHP and im going FI. Turbos are too involved, or more involved than i want to get on this car. The twinscrews are obviously the way to go if you are going to supercharge. What additional supporting mods should i think about doing to the drivetrain to support the mo powa!? My e36 tore the subframe mounts and that was stock, i know some have problems with e46's doing this also. Do the zhp's come with factory reinforcements? What kind of power are the clutches good for? Im thinking about the TS2 and adding custom straight pipes, a better intake, and maybe meth injection with C16 when its finally done to see just how much i can get outta this thing at the track.

I'd suggest headers at the minimum. Cams are also a good add-on.
I'm planning on doing the rear subframe/sway bar mount reinforcement, urethane subframe and diff bushings...and a 3.07 LSD.

thanks for the link
yeah headers would be a great addition also. Arent the ZHP cams pretty aggressive already? And i wish i could afford an lsd for this thing.

If you are going with ESS, it will be a waste since ESS tunes their kits for 91 or 93 octane since it comes from the pump. If you want to run higher octane, you will need a new map. I ran 100 octane and saw no significant increase in power over 93 octane.

Not as aggressive as the FI cams that ESS offer.

ESS has their cams made by Schrick according to ESS' spec.

ahh ok so there is a difference in ESS cams.. just wondering can i just put the cams in w/o tuning and the upgraded pulley's??
i only ask this bcuz i see it as this way... if i were to ever put the car to stock and sell the car (hypothetically) i wouldn't want to pay labor to ever have the cams removed..

I don't remember if you need to reflash your ECU for just added cams and pulleys. IIRC, AJ said the software should be able to handle that increase, which is why they call it the TS2+. Just remember that you will need headers as well. Talk to AJ about that back to stock idea you have.

I upgraded from TS2 to TS2+, the car ran fine on the ts2 software.
There is an software upgrade for the TS2+, so your dme has to be re-programmed fr upgraded cams and pully.
But horsepower-wise it doesn't make a big diverence.
I don't know if the labor involved in putting old cams back is more then the price of the cams.
When going back to stock, you can put your old cams back in and sell the FIcams seperately.(or with the kit.)

Anyone have concerns about his subframe needing reinforcement or any "requird" (aka strongly recommended) upgrades to the driveline? clutch, mounts, etc?

I'd look into reinforcing the rear subframe eventually. Also, check the flex disc.
Other than that, I'd just upgrade as things wear out like the clutch. The OEM clutch will still clamp fine as long as it is still in good condition.
