i have a 2001 black 330i that i just recently purchased and i want to make the paint look like glass. i was wondering if any one out there could help me out, thanks.

well thank you every one for absolutely nothing i appreciate it. i know i accidently posted in the wrong section. excuse me for being new, i really liked alfonzos post though, it was almost as funny as his name.

That's what they'll do to you here when you post in the wrong section. Hand wash, clay bar, then use a good premium polish then wax. See how that looks.

dont forget to sealent your car up...help keep the shine and protect the paint...

i did try the clay bar kit i used the meguires one if you know what im i talking about i followed the directions and finished it up with the meguires gold class liquid wax and didnt like the results the swirl marks were still very noticable. i've polished cars in the past but dont really remember what i used as far as pads and polish.

Lazy me, I'd just take it to a local body shop for a buff/polish. For swirls you need to have mechanical assistance. I suppose you could try a Powerball, don't know of any reviews on this tool though.

Get your car wet sanded. It'll take a small layer off your clearcoat and will remove that orange peel as well.

That plus a compound/polish/seal as mentioned above will make it look glass-like.
