Is the bang for the buck pretty good if a 04 330ci gets super-charged? how about with headers + software?

Kinda new to the S/C field sorry...

Manual or Auto.

If Manual its hard to beat the $ per hp of FI on an E46, however, if auto its gonna hurt.

What would it take for it to be worth it to you? It's a highly subjective decision. Best I can suggest is for you to read some of the existing threads on this forum and decide for yourself. Prices and dynos for any reputable kits are all available online. For me, it has been completely worth the expense.

You have got two choices, Turbo or Supercharger.

IF you would like Turbo, there is TechniqueTuning 300whp, 315wtrq stage 1.
If your into SC there is VF, AA, ESS.

Lets put it this way, FI is about the only way to get substantial gains out of the non-m E46. If you go headers, you will have to address the cat/emissions issues more than with a SC. Another alternative is swapping differentials will get you better acceleration than stock and cost less than SC.

If I had to do it all again, that is all I would do.

FI the car and leave everything else stock. It becomes a slipperly slope once you go down the mod road.

Worth it? I would not have it any other way. This is the only car I have kept for 5 years (bought it new). Gets me excited everytime I get in it and fire it up (after 3 years of supercharging and a million issues (which I brought on myself by messing with stuff)).

that's just slightly unfair, 315whp is already a short dyno. don't forget the ics ny build- 340+whp, corrected, DOWN.....stage 1
