help please what system do i have

Maybe a dumb question but how do i find out what kind of factory system i have? I'm looking to start upgrading my system and don't want to f anything up. I have a 2000 323i sedan with a business cd and 3 speakers on each side in the front 1 small speaker in each rear door and 2 on the rear deck total of 10. Nothing says HK on it anywhere. I didn't know if it was normal to have that many speakers in the non HK system. I'm in the US. Thanks

If you don not have the "HK Effect" button next to the DSC button, then you don't have HK, unless someone installed it aftermarket. You can also tell by looking in the trunk and seeing if there are two plastic HK subwoofer baskets hanging from the underside of the rear deck.

All HK set ups say HK on the grills of the rear deck. They also say HK on the speakers themselves. If they don't you simply have cheap BMW speakers and amp. However your Business CD HU is made by Blaupunkt, which is awesome stuff. Hope that helps

It actually doesn't matter what system you have. Upgrade process is identical for HK and non-HK.
