My techs have been doing so many motor builds that they decided to build an engine lift/cart. I thought it was really cool so I took some pictures of the latest motor they pulled out with it. The whole cart raises and lowers and connects to 4 mounting points on the engine and transmission. Then you simply disconnect the engine and tranny from the car and lower it out the bottom. Then you can roll it around and disassemble it while it's on the cart. They claim it is saving them a ton of time and now they don't have to pull the front end off the car. :)

Other advanced shops have variations of this tool. I thought it was really smart of my guys to build this one to save themselves time in the future. Very cool.

Take care,
Chris.

Did they build it and make stickers just to remind them how to use something they built? or is it something they made, sent away and is now being produced?

They bought the cart for $199 (on sale), welded $150 worth of metal to create the holder (top part) for the engine and tranny, $5 worth of orange paint and 4 bolts. :)
