Hi, i have a 99 323i sedan steptri=onic and i am about to purchase a slightly used (less than 1k Km of use) aa tuning supercharger previously installed in a 2002 325 coup steptronic. My ECU was flash tuned here locally before and the car runs great.
My question, do i have to to mail my ECU to AA for tuning or can i have it tuned here. My concern is we may use different fuel ratings. I use 95 to 98 octane fuel which is the standard here. I noted that in the USA, you have lower octane rating but i dont know if you use different values or if they are the same. Second, we have different climate condition (ave 30 to 37 deg C and high humidity, 80 to 90% i guess)
The installer of the SC had it tuned with AA tuning before. I drove the car with the AA sc and i think there was a problem bec when i step on the gas, the car runs slow as if there was no boost and the rpm stays stuck at 3000. I pulled over turned the engine off and everything went well again. After a few KM's it went like that again and was relieved by turning the engine off then on again. Why i am concerned is i like to have my ecu mailed to AA, but if there is retuning having to be remade, i will have to mail back again. Thanks and comments will be most appreciated.
BTW, im located in Manila, Philippines

If you have a shop localy that does obdII tuning then AA can sent it there and they can dyno tune it. If not then you gotta send out your DME to AA

Thanks for the advise. Did you send yours to AA? Were there any problems in the start that had to be fine tuned?

If you send you DME to active, make sure they don't lose it like they did mine.

No I had a local shop tune it for the supercharger.
But i did send out my dme to them when I just bought my car for a header tune. No problems. Took a couple days at most to send out and get it back to me.

I should find out today if they worked it out with UPS. I hope we see some forward movement. I'm not sure when the hell I will be back on the road, at this point it is not looking so good. :banghead:
