Chris had hoosiers on there which when not heated properly are worse than plain street tires, thus why he was slipping so much and still caught the car at about 100. /thread

Appreciate it does have AWD and launch but it does show how good the GTR is out of the box. Pick ups awesome though Chris once you hit 3rd

Definitely very tough to control a car with power like that. Chris has some wide tires back there but they are not sticky or tall enough.

When my MT's would get old i couldnt get traction under 120mph. In this video my tires were old and in low boost (starting at 40mph) my car was just spinning. Racing 2 cars making 500whp+ (more then the Nissan GTR), i would pass them at 140ish very fast.

I think HPF's Traction Control which runs an integrated Speed Based Boost Control along with some wider tires that can grab should solve the issue. We'll just have to wait when they do HPF TC/SBBC M3s vs. other cars from a stand still and on the highway to see if it really helps to grip big power down to the ground.

They fixed the traction I believe and just because someone has/wants big horses doesn't mean they have to drive fast or launch fast. They could've done a highway run and the m3 would have had plenty of traction.

I set up my Supra to launch and got in the low 1.4's for the 60 ft. I did a 1.42 60 ft one time and gave myself whiplash for 3 days.

In order to set this car up for a launch is actually quite simple. Swap out the rear brakes for some smaller ones, and put in some 325x50 series tires on 15" wheels. Then do a 10 second burnout and voila, launch away.

My M3 is currently set up for road racing w/19" wheels. It pulled an average 1.11 G's on decel from 130mph to zero using the monstrous brakes and massive tires. We can't even come close to determining what lateral g's in can take because everytime we try going into a turn at warp speeds the car comes out the other end beggin to go faster.

So... set the car up for drag racing, put it in launch mode and apply 902rwhp at the line and say goodbye to nearly everything you're drag racing. Set the car up for road racing and say good bye to nearly everything on a road coarse. But understand, those are two completely different setups. Different suspension, different wheels and tires, different mappings for speed based boost control, traction control, etc. You could make a compromise and try to run both, however, my car is currently set up for high speed road racing.
