hey sorry to beat a dead horse into the ground on 1st post but i have been wanting to super charge my 01 325i for quite some time now. i'm looking at the ess tuning super charger kit. its the 7psi model. one of my biggest concern is that my 325 i is about to roll 75000 miles. and i know that with older engines there is more risk in supercharging it. i also live at sea level if that matters. the 325i that i want to supercharge has always been taken care of and had all routine 15000 mile oil changes done with mobile 1 fully synthetic, im gonna start changing oil every 5000. it was my dads car from 11 miles to 72000 and then i have driven it ever since. i know my dad never hammered on this engine and neither have i. nor do i plan to with the supercharged engine i want to do it just to have that power on tap.
max rpm i've hit personally is 5000 and my dad used to drive it to achieve the best mpg he could. he always jokingly says he never had it above 3000rpm. so what are your guys feelings about supercharging this engine. oh and i plan to have a compression test down before supercharging it to make sure theirs nothing that needs to be corrected before hand.
