I have been a member on this board for a little while and wanted to share some fab work that has recently been done....... Here are some pics of recent fab work I have done and the quality. These are misc. different cars and are non BMW. This is not a business post in anyway. Just wanted to clear that up so I dont have any issues with this post later on. Various turbo manifolds I have made over time.

Hope you guys like and comments are welcome :)

Dave

Nice dime stacking!!!

So...where are the pictures of the e9X m3 turbo exhaust manifolds and the e60 m5 turbo exhaust manifolds?

dke46T
02-01-2009, 03:10 AM
HAHAHA the dime stacking can be applied to any platform applicable...... If there is a donor of either it can be done without any questions ......... Just like it has been said "if you build it they will come" .... If there is a donor the stacks will get stacked ....

Thanks guys

More to come .. keep up the positive feedback :)

Wow, beautiful work. So nice it would keep me from putting it on the car and getting it dirty. I need to pick up that trade...is it hard?

dke46T
02-01-2009, 11:53 AM
Its not a trade/hobby where you can say one day that your going to go out and spend thousands on equipment and be good right from the start. Its alot or working and understanding how metal reacts to different temps and torch angles and understanding different metals and how they react to temperature. Everything is Tig welded which is known to be an art form in itself. With Mig welding anyone can do or at least do it and learn very quickly since its all point and shot and all you have dial in is your feeds and heat and your all set.

Hope this helps future fabricators out there :)

wow, beautiful welding, you have put in some serious time behind a hood.

But I have to ask....So what is the point of this thread?
Are you for hire? If so, I have a project for you, but it is in northern WA state...

Are you promoting spoolin-performance?

Is that the same Camaro that gets spanked by that guys HPF M3 all the time in the youtube videos?

Make a newer BMW turbo exhaust manifold now or ban!

Specifically two of them for an e9X m3 twin turbo setup.

Thanks!

i own spoolin performance and the HPF m3 is my brothers

i don't plan to build turbo kits for bmw's of any kind.. that area IMO is too specialized. I like to sell components for DIY type of deals not so much full kits unless requested. and my brothers HPF has never in its LIFE spanked me =) because when we raced he was slow or had some slight issues with the vehicle/bad spark plugs or he spun and I caught traction .

full race mod vs full race mode my maro vs his bmw .. my maro might get handed some.. but we'll see what happens with my supra on race gas vs his bmw on race gas .. that's a race that is to be seen.

Funny how we both have some of the faster cars in the bay yet have not really had a chance to race each other despite the fact that we see one another every weekend.

Well I hope that someone has the coin and the nuts to one-off a twin turbo e9X m3 using you guys. If I had the coin I would do it. You'd have to use a standalone for fuel, spark, cold start, idle, etc. Either that or a big single turbo would be nice. Might be room on the passenger side underneath or up top.

Exactly!! :) When a customer doesnt wanna cut up a 3,000 dollar carpet you gotta do what you gotta do to make it fit. Actually a few places making bolt in roll bars for the gt3 make the main hoop almost just like this (alot of times with out the peak). There is only one place to bolt into with out cutting up the carpet and inorder to allow the seats to have some type of room thats where it has to go :) Cutsomer is also 6'4" and 250lbs and needed as much room as possible
