Remember the Spike story?
This is crazy. It's insane.
My production manager comes to me and says, "Rob, people love our premium slotted rotors which we sell at pricing lower than any other major brand... why don't we do the same thing with plain rotors for those on a budget?"
I replied, "Sure, Spike (that's his name!) but that's a very competitive market. We're fighting with plain-box stuff, overseas production, pocket-change pricing. There's no way we can do something... or is there?"
Spike answers, "I think we can. Look at these numbers I've crunched on production costs. If we price it right, the volume will be there and we can afford to do it."
Spike is a bit of a nutter at times, but he means well and we indulge him from time to time. Let's see if Spike was right.

We did really well with this event when originally posted.
But that Spike, I tell ya... he gets it into his head that we need to stock thousands of rotors.
Spike is about to lose his job because I've got a lot more than his salary tied up in cast iron right now.
