As far as power, theres nothing like an HPF Turbo kit for our cars. Unfortunately I dont have the funds or available loan to put out for an HPF stage 1, which is what about 20 grand with labor and maybe more due to the shipping of the car to hpf. My question is what do you guys think of a supercharged/nitrous set up. Ive heard of a few M3's with about 520+rwhp with a AA stage 2 / nitrous set up. My reason for thinking about this route is solely on price. I'm guessing supercharged nitrous will run about 15 grand tops and AA is local for me.Ive also heard of some really good supercharger kits our there now that put you over 500 rwhp on its own for around the same 15 grand price tag. I havent done much home work but Im starting to now which is why I figured this would be a good informative thread.Any thoughts on this and or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well if your willing to spend $15K why not add another thousand and get the HPF stage 1 and have a local shop install it for you. You don't need to ship your car out to HPF for stage 1 or 2, its only stage 2.5+ as it requires engine work.

Hope it helps!

I hear ya, but if I where to get a HPF kit I wont trust anyone with it I much rather have them install it.

You said AA is local for you and I'm pretty sure they can install it for you.

AA is a HPF dealer. They can install the kit no problem.

install on the HPF kit runs what, 3-4k ? If I where to get the stage 1, upgrading to stage 2.5 or stage 3 would be cheaper right ? So you guys think it would be more worth to go stage 1 hpf kit ?

go with stage one, you can easily upgrade to stage 2 once it's in your budget/get bored of the power you're putting down. And AA seems very credible since they've also done turbos on our cars as well

Call Omar and talk to him. He'll get you taken care of (Omar works at AA).

I assume you need a nitrous specific tune when supercharged? or will a regular AA SC tune work fine?

I think some people have run nitrous without a specific tune, but its a better idea to have it tuned to pull some timing when the nitrous is firing.

You should ask saintly. He trapped 129 with his SC/Nitrous set-up. I think that was on race fuel and that's what most HPF set ups are trapping. I know Rob trapped 139 but I think that was with a special tune putting over 700whp on higher boost.

No , actually it was on the same boost level as advertised ( 13-14 psi ).

He might chime in to confirm that ..Rob :hi:
