well didn't exactly top it out because I really just did not have the balls to go any faster, but here is something to think about. This weekend a buddy and I were out and he has an 07 z06, and my care is an 04 m3 with AA kit gen 3 level 2. it started out on some country winding roads with him as the lead and I must say going from 80-140 in and out of curves I hung in there very well. some places I was able to maintain full throttle while he was breaking so in the turns an m3 matches up very well against the z06. Ok now for the highway. After finding a good straight away and no traffic in sight I was in one lane and he another. I succesfully reached 180mph and was at around 7500rpm so there was still more, but that was plenty for me. my buddy went a little longer and said he hit 195mph. So 180 easily , but didn't want to test it. It is amazing how tight the car was I thought it would be all over the road.
Peace out!

German cars are built to be driven at 150mph reliably all day long. I'm sure they can handle a few extra mph comfortably without being 'all over the place' ;)

Car held the road great. If your car is floating a little, you probably need bushings. I recommend urethane, the stock rubber ones don't do the trick.
As far as dyno numbers I have not had a run since upgrading to level 2. About a year ago I ran it at 7psi and got 414whp. That was also with AA headers, 12lb fly, no cats, borla mufflers. Not sure where I am now.

Sorry, no I have never been to the strip because all of the tracks around here are 8th mile, and that is a worthless run for our cars.

I hate to guess at things like this because usually some jackass tries to flame you, but i really don't care. We are running almost exactly the same and i would estimate 440-450whp. Also i will add that is off of 93 octane. I have never ran race fuel, i guess just to lazy to send the brain to aa.

I also have gone 180 mph several time on my AA stage 2, and it is solid like a rock. No floating feeling what so ever either and their is about 1500 rpm more until redline. One run to 180 mph was on a mild windy day racing a C5 Vette and it feel very controllable and stable compare to some Japanese Care where it feel light, floating, and extremely noisy past 140 mph. I guess this is why it is an BMW M3.

after i take care of a few things on my ride for the up coming showcar season....and to let you guys know i had my ride a few years ago at watkins glen its a road course.. had my car up to 150 and it felt solid like a rock..and on the bank turns i hit 90mph at 90 my car was just beginning to lose it.. but i had it under control...but to let you know the car was corner balance i have
in the car barbarian sway bars, coil overs back and front cross braces at that time....wright now i just took out the back cross brace to make room for my ice set up....i really don't race my car anymore..... but im begining to think about making it more for speed than for show ...

they would have driving schools across the country you could see where the closest one to you were....then you could go to it... you get a discount if you
belong to the bmw club of america.... it would cost you around 150.00 for a 1 day driving school... you would get around 80 minutes on the track.. you would go on a 20 minute section.. then you would go to a class room for 20 minutes and repeat that 4 times.....its alot of fun to let out your car and have a instructer telling you how to take a turn and telling you to go faster....
when i did the 150mph i told the instructer i was happy... he told me that i should do that on the turns... i told him that i did not think it was posiable...
told him to show me... he drove my car around the track once... let me tell you he hit 137mph in the s turns.. i was sh-ting my paints look like a cartoon
when i was seeing the side of the road... then he told me that he could have gone faster than the 137mph but he saw me geting scare... he told me my car handle better than his old vette i think he had a 1996 vette.. this was in 2003.... i told him that i had alot of money into my car for the handeling that it should handle very good....i will never forget that day when he told me that my car could have went around that s turn faster.... he just new how to position my car going into the turn....and how to come come out of it...he was using the paddles on my steering wheel to down and up shift....
