Hi Nick,
I recall a similar promotion in the past. Whilst this offer sounds enticing, and I am in the market for a kit at the moment, Scott never answered my questions, which I feel were all valid and would most likely result in more than one sale.
Please address these questions:

To re-cap, those questions were:
Vf, I would be interested but firstly need you to answer the following truthfully.
1. Is this sale due to the liquidation, or lack of financial performance from your organisation? My concern around this would for obvious reasons be around the warranty.
2. Is your warranty international?
3. The Dyno graphs for the e46 330 on your website are gifs which do not link to actual dyno images, what are the real numbers?
4. Will the Stage 2 kit ever be released?
5. What is the cost of shipping to Victoria, Australia?
6. Why does this kit not come with an intercooler option?
Answer all of these, and you may have a deal!

1. Is this sale due to the liquidation, or lack of financial performance from your organisation? My concern around this would for obvious reasons be around the warranty.
VF is very popular in California (where they are located) and isn't going through any financial problems. Most likely they are selling these kits for less because the demand for anything thats not a E46 M3 or above (e9x) is slowing down. Most people these days aren't supercharging older cars and would rather just spend money towards a new car (like the new 3-series). So it's natural for the prices to decline.
2. Is your warranty international?
I'm sure it is. Why wouldn't it be? They will give you full telephone support for the life of the kit. Probably just a year warranty covering parts as long as it was installed properly.
3. The Dyno graphs for the e46 330 on your website are gifs which do not link to actual dyno images, what are the real numbers?
VF has been in business since 2000 and have gained a lot of followers. If they were to fake numbers, that would destroy their fan base. I assure you, those HP numbers are real and accurate. Your car with the same kit might vary in HP depending how many miles you have on your car. The dynos are usually of cars with really low miles.
4. Will the Stage 2 kit ever be released?
I doubt it. They are focusing on research and development of new products for e9x and e46.
6. Why does this kit not come with an intercooler option?
The stock manifold is replaced with an air-to-water integrated chargecooler manifold. Air/water cooling requires less lengthy pipework than an intercooler and provides more consistent aftercooling effect. This is avaliable on stage 2.

they have stage 2 kits for the E46 M, but no VF stage 2 kits for the Non-M, so i take it the stage 1 (only stage) for non-M's are non intercooled and come with no available chargecooler?:confused::confused:

Sorry all you VF followers, I'm still not convinced. And to the non-VF member who responded to the questions targeted at the very employees of the company, which still have not responded (and it's been 2 months all up in both posts). Your post contradicts itself I am perfectly capable of reading what you have already written, which most of was pulled from the website anyway and applies to M3 kits.
Not meaning to sound like Pr#ck, I just want someone to answer for me - if you are trying to run a business and make a sale, you should be able to back your product with decent information.
ESS, HPF, AA - when are you going to jump on the band wagon and make SC'ing more affordable? ;)

I just ordered one of these kits and it will be delivered to me tomorrow. VF does not post up here alot, so give them a call and they will be happy to answer your questions. BTW, they always answered the phone when I called with questions a few times, and also responded promptly to emails. This just isn't the best place to get your inquiries addressed.
I can answer a couple of your questions based on the conversation I had with them before ordering my kit.
There are currently no plans to develop a stage 2.
It doesn't come with an intercooler b/c they deem the kit (at 6lbs) is putting out the optimal amount of boost to not suffer from heat soak and not require the cooler. Besides, it's cheaper without if you don't really need it (I know many people will debate this), which was a big selling point for me.
They are not suffering any financial difficulties, this sale is to move some extra stock they have on the kits, I imagine the sale will end when the excess inventory is gone.
Again though, the company was very easy to deal with (I spoke mainly with Sean) so contact them directly and they will give you as much time as you need to learn all that you have to about this kit so you can make a decision.

I think it's unfair you are judging a company by how often they are on the forums to answer everyone's question. I would just give them a call or email them. They will answer all your questions better than anyone here can.
Also, you can check out m3forums and you can read the positive comments from customers about VF.

Thanks for all the qs, many of which have been answered by fellow enthusiasts - thankyou!
The stage2 aftercooler manifold is being tested on an beta car at the moment. Due to a large amount of R&D in hand, the manifold project which is a very costly project is a proceeding at a slow pace. There is no release estimated date for this.
The reason for this sale is that we want to inject some enthusiasm in the market !! Come perk up guys ! Some of the consiparcy theories did however give our salesteam a good chuckle !
For some reason our links to certain dyno plots have been lost and we are in process of re-instating them.
Anyway, there is no catch to this promotion - take it before it ends. There is no firm end date, it is merely based on revenue streams and inventory levels. We sponsor 13 different forums and are present in many countries around the world. To this end, kits go out of the door everyday, we are support e46fanatic forum members with this promotion - this is a good thing! Enough with the cynicism !

Poor analogy. Dominoes doesn't have people answering questions on internet forums 24/7 either. If you want to learn more about their current promotion or possibly order one of their "tasty" pizzas, you have to call or email them directly from their website. Either of those two methods of contact would have worked with VF as well.
As VF mentioned in the post just above, they are part of many different forums. Frankly if they, or any, manufacturer spent time constantly answering questions from tire kickers on online forums they wouldn't have any freggin time for R&D, installations, or servicing ACTUAL customers and persons interested enough in their products to pick up a phone.
I know we're in the information age, and we also like to get our info delivered to us passively and conveniently; but if you're considering an investment and undertaking of this magnitude you should WANT to actively initiate a little old-fashioned human contact to gather the information you seek.

not the easiest thing for me to do with limitations like time zone and phone access.
Im not knocking them by any means. I'm a current customer. I have nothing good or bad as far as feedback about them prior to this purchase and I can say that Sean and Nik have both been a great help thus far.

No, it's a 2004 5 spd 325i. I have seen it written ms54, so I made the assumption (I know, I know)....it has seems everything (software programmers, chips, etc) always say "3 series '05", but there's an asterisk excluding the m54.
If this is available for mine, I'm probably in. Warranty just expired, so timing is great.

there are plenty of members that have more miles than that on a f/i car. i myself will be boosting around 140k. as long as compression is fine, there shouldn't be a problem.

If you would like further verification that you are OK to SC, you could have a Leak Down test and maybe even a full compression test performed. Based on the outcome, you could decide that you are safe for some more power!
PM me if you have any further questions!

Ok, some clarification.
M54's aren't excluded, M54's using MS45 DME's were excluded (and might still be in the case of VF, dunno) from offerings because the DME is harder to program for.
SULEV M56 equipped vehicles don't get much in the way of performance upgrades at all. They were low production, hard to mod cars.
The S54 DME is known as MS54 just FYI

Excellent....I feel better and this will keep me from having to ask more "dumb questions" in the future.....
I am seriously considering this as it's such a low cost power upgrade.
I usually buy "trailing edge" (let someone else take the depreciation hit), buy "right" if I can, then sell it myself in a year or so. I don't put many miles on my cars (have bikes and other vehicles so the miles get spread out), so I can usually end up paying very little for my actual "use".
My 04 325i was bought with 14k miles on it, and I got a great deal. It was a true 2 year lease- just barely used- as verified by BMW before I bought it. I was just going to go with an M3 "next time", but, this one still has so few miles, and the economy stinks so much, it's still in the garage. The warranty/free service died out a few months ago, but working on it has been fairly easy so far, and I don't owe on it- I think I may just keep it.
It has Dinan mods, but, let's be honest here....at least on this car, well, I'm glad that was someone else's money that was spent. The true gains from those mods may simply be coming from the aerodynamic change caused by the DINAN on the deck lid for as little as they do. It's fun to throw around, but it's not the quickest horse in the stable.
I am just afraid the supercharger will lead to and LSD, then gears, then 6 speed (has the 5) tranny.....
Decisions, decisions.... :banghead:
