View Full Version : Please help me welcome Derek to the 600rwhp+ Club (635rwhp!)

HPF Chris

I'd like to congratulate Derek on becoming our newest member to join the 600rwhp E46 M3 Club! With 102,000 miles on the motor, Derek's M3 made great numbers coming in at 635rwhp (SAE) on race fuel + methanol.

Here are the dyno results and some pictures of his build. John and ChrisK worked until 2:30am last night to get his car finished so we haven't had a chance to clean the car yet. His car will go home with JP tonight for final driveability testing and then he can pick it up tomorrow.

Welcome to the HPF family Derek!!!

Chris.

We put a new windshield banner in the passenger seat. He can swap it out if he wants. :)

-------------

We also installed a new lower IC pipe and intake pipe on Ravi's M3 and gave him the latest tune. Here's his previous dyno results.

Is that Stage 1 because pump gas numbers seem kind of low? :dunno:
:hmm:

low as compared to what? thats in range for the pump gas map. I make 443 on pump but 431 isnt that far off. especially for 100K+ mileage.

and no its not a stage 1 kit, it has methanol witch makes it at least a stage 2. with that dyno sheet im pretty sure its a stage 2

ohhh i missed it the first time...you have a stupidcharger in your sig pic so you must be use to the lower numbers. therefore you should know that 431 on pump is well within advertised spec of the HPF kit on pump gas. go over to M3forum and join the Stupidcharger bandwagon over there.

and congrats Derek for the MASSIVE upgrade you just made!

lol..thanks guys... I wanted to try something else with my car. No problems with the VF kit at all, just wanted to try turbo. Thanks HPF crew for working to the early morning hours to get my car done in time for bimmer fest. 600rwhp on a 100k mile motor shows how well these motors are made. Now I don't have to make my own little blow off valve noise when I drive..lmao

No problem. 635rwhp is what they advertise and thats what she did. not bad for 100k+ on my motor.

congrats! no offense to vf kit owners, but i think that turbo is more enjoyable to drive and he will have more fun with the turbo, not that the other doesn't make power, but i used to have a civic hatchback that went through both kits also, supercharged (320 hp) and the turbo made much more power (450 hp on 91 octane), looks cleaner, and sounded ten times more aggressive....

Agreed, you, Jerry, Loren all did some amazing stuff with your AA kits! Fact is MOST enthusiasts wtih SC's love the HPF kit and give it major props, as they should it's a great kit!

It is a great kit, as is AA's! After two years you wanted to try something else, more power, etc. plus you're an old supra guy, turbo was a logical choice and HPF is right in your backyard. :)
