This is all going in a 96 accord, but I figured you guys know your ****.

I went to a shop and got a basic quote, this is what we came up with:

They offered a 10% discount for being on another forum.
All these prices are before the 10%

Headunit:
Clarion CZ509 $300

All JL audio Speakers/Sub

JL Evolution TR650-CXi Coaxials for the rear deck $170
JL Evolution TR650-CSi Component for the fronts $200
JL 12W0v2 Subwoofer $130
JL G2250 Amplifier $250
Single 12" Ported Enclosure $120

Installation:
Head unit $50
Subwoofer/Amp $85
Front Doors Component Installation $75
Rear Deck Installation $35

Tsunami Amp Wiring Kit $60
RCA Cable $15
Dash Kit $15
Wiring Harness $17

~1350 after the 10% off, before tax.

I think I'm going to go with a 10" sub instead (10W0v2?) in a sealed box.

Is this all going to sound bad without sound deadening also installed? He actually didn't mention anything about sound deadening.

Any other headunits or speakers you guys would suggest looking at?

It seems as though the Clarion cz209 head unit is very similar to the cz509, although the cz509 has a 2line display(instead of 1), 22watts per channel (instead of 20watts), and 6 preamp outputs (instead of 4). Would there really be a perceptible difference in quality between the two? The cz509 also has bluetooth but that doesn't interest me.

Thanks!

Like the 10W3? Or a different company all together? What sub would you match with that?

Nah, I don't want to drop that much on just the sub. I don't want my car to just have overwhelming bass. I might just do a headunit +sub now, what do you think of the w3? What amp would you match with the 10w3?

Agreed to an extent. I'm gonna get a new car in ~ 1.5 years probably, and would bring at the bare minimum sub/amp/head unit to my new car.
