Hey guys so I have a check engine light and the 2 codes are rear o2 sensor and MAF, so I ordered o2 sensors and tested the MAF today and when I pulled it off it seemed like the car went into the mode its suppose to and AFR went to 10...so then I went on a mustang dyno today and I already knew my charger wasnt running properly so the numbers werent as high as id like... so anyways the numbers were 245 hp/242 trq to the wheels in 3rd gear, he said he would have ran it in 4th but the car is running lean right now and it could risk blowing the engine, is this true? (AFR= 14.9 lowest highest 22 avg 17.9) which is lean as all of you know... I have a AEM air to fuel guage and the sensor is installed by the rear o2 sensors, the guy at the dyno place told me I should install it closer to the headers and the number will be more accurate? I sent the dyno chart to AA to look at so they can assess the problem but now I most likely have to send the ECU back to AA again and car off the road again for a week YAY! :banghead:

The car also randomly dies and when I push it sometimes it backfires and spudders... I think 95% chance it just needs a ECU retune but can any FI experts out there second this?

Thanks!

Sounds like my last dyno experience. Please check to make sure the pipe at the throttle body is connected properly. Mine blew off while I was on the dyno, I never even made it to your HP numbers, and I have a 328.

hey man im sure nothing is loose as ive had it thoroughly checked for vacum leaks and the maf and pretty much everything else aswell, its most likely a tune problem I can send someone the dyno sheet if someone wants to post it up for me...

Also I forgot to mention when I come to a intersection I put the car into neutral obviously and once in a while the car just dies, no choking or anything like that it just simply turns off and I have to push the clutch in and turn the car on again which is why originally I thought it was my MAF andthe engine code comes up as MAF and o2 sensors but both dyno guy and my mechanic think its a tune issue aswell...

do you have a lightwheel clutch?

and if the cel pointed to the maf sensor, have you triedcleaning it withsome maf cleaner?or replaced it yet?

the rear o2 sensor code...do you have aftermarket headers?

:werd:

You're AFRs seem extremely lean... maybe try and measure with a different gauge or even a tail sniffer?

245rwhp isn't that bad for a 323 on a mustang dyno. Do you have headers? Is that SAE corrected?

Nice speaking to you earlier. Sadly the techs are out today. I will have them give you a call tomorrow morning.

We will do what we can to get your ASA system working properly.

Hey,

Please send us they same chart but with the A/F curve as well. It has the min and max values but we would like to see the curve. I also assume it was a sniffer?

You should have the AEM Uego 02 sensor closer to the manifold, i would also like to know if it reads just as lean?

Thanks.
