OP, Do you have the original box or can you get one designed to ship a flat panel? If you don't, no shipping company will insure it. It will get destroyed if not properly packed and the shipping company will not pay.

A 40" was improperly packed and destroyed when it was shipped to me. I had the CC charge reversed and the seller was out the money.

GL on your sale!

On a side note, John is absolutely correct. I purchased a television from another fantastic member here but he wasn't able to get it shipped due to not having the box. The shipping company told him that he needed to have it professionally packaged, which would itself cost an arm and a leg, and therefore defeat the purpose of selling it.

Again, great deal and free bump for you!

The box the 40" was in said on it, NOT FOR FLAT PANEL TVs, BOXES FOR FLAT PANEL TVs ARE AVAIALABLE. The box was for a wall picture/ painting. I think the seller got it at a UPS Store (the morons there actually packed it and accepted it for shipping) or at a moving company.
The sort process for UPS, FedEx, etc. is mechanized and is not gentle. "FRAGILE" labels don't help. And some of the drivers aren't careful. I found foot prints on the side of the box, which means it was layed on its side, and some one stepped on it. I asked the driver about it and got a blank look.
