Well i received my kit today, opening the box was very fun. tons of popcorn foam
I took everything out to inspect it and i must say its very clean and well put together kit. i will be sending my car off to get this sucker installed asap. only thing is i seem to be missing a couple of parts. Jean or Omar please call me when you get a chance. On to some grainy iphone pics.
ps. i decided to have this professionally installed. i dont have the patience or the time to DIY.

Congrats man. You'll love it.
I want to see your numbers when the install is done. As soon as my new clutch goes on and is broken in I'll be dynoing my gen IV rotrex kit. I want to see some real world HKS vs Rotrex comparisons:thumbsup: Seems like the only difference is the blower. I like the HKS unit alot, but I like the cold air intake on the rotrex setup.

Whole point of having the filter like that is to minimize pressure drop through the intake, enclosing it would just negate that. And cone filters HATE being enclosed.

We've tested multiple intake setups, with repeated runs on the street and the dyno. With the power that this kit is making, many other intake designs were found to be restrictive. The final setup as pictured has proven to the be the most effective, and has not had any heat soak problems even after repeated runs on the dyno in 90+ degree weather.

Thanks aa , I was pretty sure you've tested all sorts before you released the kit. You know these paranoid mod happy kids :p. They'll think of all sorts of ways to "improve" on a makers design. I'd like to see some vids!! And sound!

a vented hood would be sick if you already dont have one like someone mentioned.
good luck on the install! I hope its as quick and painless as recieving the kit in 3 minutes!

Had a vented hood. Recently sold it, didn't like the looks of it. Also let water droplets on my intake cover which left water spots. I rather not have h2o touch my blower :). Supersprint headers, 2 ar-25 resonators + random tech exhaust. No cats.

^ Bob, I think it's just called the Gen 5 level 1. The renegade kit is like 500+whp.
I just bought and saved some cash with the Gen 4 which is still 81trim rotrex based, but this seems like the same kit otherwise. Looks like they got another 10+ hp with the HKS and some more tweaking(venting 100% to atmosphere which I'd like to know more about). Nice AA! and again Congrats Babydevilj.

the kit that im geting is not out yet for the masses... it is the kit under the top one that you have to change the internals...i guess it is just the plain level 5 kit...i know the 500+ want it want to go after that vette in my hood....the extra h/p will make up for me being 210lbs... hehehe
