HPF Methanol question

Hi,

I wounder if anyone can answer me on how long 5 liters of methanol will last in HPF Stage2 car. How many miles do you get if you´re running with the mathanol injection on the racetrack?

thats going to be a pretty broad question to answer, as it mostly depends on driving habits and conditions, but with that said i have had a tank of meth last a week and a half, and ive had a tank last 3 months...lol

Assuming they're using the 400cc/min nozzle (and assuming it is @ 100% duty cycle at full load), then the 1.25 gal tank would last for 12 minutes of continuous boosting. At 200mph -- that would last about 40 miles.

On a road course where you are sometimes off throttle (braking) or light throttle (sweepers) you might only be using meth 80% of the time. But your avg speed would prob be much lower. Assuming a high-speed track with 100mph avg speed, I'd estimate the meth would last 25 miles. That would probably be just about right for a 20-min track session with warm-up/cool down laps.


But of course I'm just guessing. Hopefully you get a chance to race that swedish HPF m3 and find out for sure...
