a month or so ago i realise that my m3 was going into limp mode. i did not realise
it because i don't race my m3 but going to a show from new york to maryland
i found out that i had it. thanks to a teammate in my car club HE JUST GOT A NEW 335 TURBO BMW...and he wanted to see how his ride compare to my stage 2 aa s/c m3... very thing was good untill i hit 5,000rpm then the shut down. so next chance i had i brought it to the premire speed shop in my area
tkx they do alot of the speed work on european high end cars... and to my surprise the head mech tazo told me to go to the dealer for this trouble because the code was reading something to do with the cam.....he left me out in the cold.... i couldn't find a place that i trusted with my ride.... so

i call aa in florida from new york spoke to jean and he made me speak to one of their support teck a guy name carl.. very nice guy... he started me off with the easy stuff fuel filter air filter change spark plugs... nothing was working so he send me to a guy name felix medina a mech that is into racing and he as a s/c 330 e-46bmw... very nice guy a real hot rod person... he check out my ride and after looking at the code that was coming out he new what it could be but to double check him self he did something that was very amazing.. he call the teck in florida a little before 8 pm i know they quit at 6 pm but he had is cell number....i was so thankful that he got thru to aa guy....TO ME THAT IS REAL CUST. SUPPORT...i don't know how the other s/c and turbo charge co. cust support is but i couldn't ask for better support..
and carl the teck guided felix thru what to look for...they came up with 2 possiables one is i believe the relay i think to the cam and the trouble that both of them seems to think it is is the part that holds the cam in place that makes it move it is not making the cam move so it is sending a signal to the comp. to put the car in limp mode.. felix is going to take care of it in 2 days from when he look at the car... told me that the shop he is using is a little fill up.... but at tkx you usually have to wait a month or so to get in it... i am very happy that carl send me to see this mech in linden new jersey.... he seems to know bmw and aa softwear very good.... just wanted to say to aa
in the forum thank you so much for all of your help you won me over as a loyal cust. knowing the support you have with your customers...and now knowing i have felix and carl to fall back to i can't wait to get your next gen. s/c what ever level it is...
i think the owners of aa should give carl a well done he is a big reason that i became a loyal cust of aa

Glad your issues sorted out :) And if the owners were to give Karl a pat on the back, Karl would be patting himself on the back as he is one of the owners ;) (if thats the Karl your talking about :)).

Senior bob! Let's start holding each others member after your car gets fixed!!! You've had the kit for less than a year! Plus you shelled out lots of cash for expensive parts like coils I would expect nothing but the finest from aa's customer service. I hope to see you back on the road asap!!! I wish you and your car well and the best.

no i had fun driving down to oc with you.... i was getting upset that my car was dying after 5,000 rpm... i did not know that had to thank you for that...
im leaning on getting the next gen. s/c from aa.... and it is not for you. you know i don't drive fast usually.. its for a VETTE that told me that my car was not a sport car that i was driving a fake sport car...he dis me he said to me after he heard how loud my car was that i thought i was hot stuff....i was minding my own bussiness...usually kids come up to me and say that they like my son car.....not knowing its my car.... and yes i spend alot of money on my handling and last year on the perf.... but when i first got my car i was going to driving schools... so i hook up my car for handeling that was before i got all my ice...im sorry if i disrespect you in any way...in my post.... i was just starting my story with you because that is when i found out that my car was going into limp mode... thats all...... but between me and you you do drive fast lollllll

great guys to deal with down at active, theyve helped me countless times after i bought my used AA kit that was incomplete, gave me all the parts i needed and craig (guy that designed all the active kits) gave me a lift back to my house in ft. lauderdale after i was stranded at AA (unexpectedly had to leave my car there) and didnt have a ride home.

carl, craig and mike at active are all extremely knowledgeable and are great guys to deal with, a long with the rest of team AA in miami.

a big  to AA

Hey senior bob! Hehe in your old age you're getting me confused with some1 else:p no one liike seeing any member doing downtime for faults in the car, and especially you senior bob! I can't wait to see the hks designed rotrex gen 6 if I recall in your car and look foward to seeing what the problem was. Hopefully its not this vanos thing that's been popping up on all the forums. Wish u best -jason

There is only one Karl and he is an owner. He is head of engineering.

In regards to the kit you are both correct.

The HKS Level 1 kits have been released. The conversion kit from HKS to Rotrex has not been released yet.

The level 2 version of the HKS kits has been released yet either. If i am correct both of you are waiting on this upgrade.

you should just keep the level and just add another number to the kit.... like
level 6 or 7 or 8 that way it is not so confusing to your loyal cust's lollllll
