I timed about 4.7 secs for 0-60mph.......

Is that with the VTSQ3 charger at 6psi boost?

V2S at regular VT450 boost, not optimal shifting. Video is from a customer.

What would be the optimal shifts points? Just curious..thanks!

stock gearing?

8000RPM in each gear is optimal, and obviously quicker shifting than in video which was not ment to be a record attempt -just an impression of pull in each gear.

Gearing was stock.

Here are a few of my VT450. I don't claim to be the best driver, but will give you an idea. I've got 3.91 gears

Accelerating from 0 to xxx and slowing immediately after passing the camera

Looks like 14-14.5 seconds from 0-200km/h if i'm correct! that's E60 M5 territory

Anyone test a Coupe with ESS VT450 fitted against a stock E60 or modded E92 M3 ?

I suppose lookin at this and dyno graphs of 380rwhp this thing should walk a E92 M3 and keep up with an E60 up to 200km/h

Can`t comment on the coupe but when I was VT450, I just nosed the E60 (in P400 mode) in full fat mode I kept up (just) to about 70-80mph then it ran away quickly, by 170ish it was bus lengths ahead.

Yeah I know mike! But it's the weight from the Vert that's killing the power!

I have ran a couple stock Vert's and the least I can say was SLOW
Stock VS stock a coupe is 2.5 sec quicker from 0-200
I ran an M6 in P400 , got a slight better start and it did not went out of my side vieuw mirror up to 250km/h
Then in P500 he pulled on me like I do with E46 330i's ...

If I run my buddies E39 man to man we are dead even , If I take 2 passengers in my car that weigh 90kg (200lbs) I get ASS raped from the moment we hit the pedal, by 200+ the E39 is like 7-8 cars ahead and keeps pulling and that's +- what a vert weighs more then a coupe

My coupe is 1540kg vs 1730kg for a Vert

I really want some comparisons runs of this kit against other cars!

It's the only kit I'm willing to put on the car without all the intercooler fuss and other intake plenums.
I'm pretty sure I can get it thrue inspection with this kit. My inspctection is due 15th of september so I'm really thinking about buying the kit after that !

You can lighten the vert in many ways, although to put it on par with an equally powered coupe with the same amount of weight reduction mods is also impossible given the heavy reinforcement components.

One thing obviously is in weight reduction, the problem with that is the coupe can do the same. Still, unsprung weight is another area to address. At the end of the day there's no getting around the fact the 'vert weighs more.

One area you can compensate obviously is with more horsepower and especially torque! :D

Lightweight racing seats
Lightweight exhaust (muffler is very heavy)
Brakes
Boot (heavy)
Sways
Wheels

Indeed But almost 400lbs more weight is very mutch

Try racing 2 equal coupe M3's and one with 2 200lbs passengers , the difference is outragous, many carlengths

If you do the math it could be right

Mike weighs around 225+ he told me , his vert is 400lbs heavyer then a coupe and 550lbs heavyer then a CSL

He told me he was dead even with a CSL up to the high 3 digits with "only" 80-90 more wheelhp, CSL's tend to go to 200km/h around 16.5-17sec so mike made up 3 sec with 80whp more in his car, If you take a Euro-spec coupe that does around 17.5sec and give that 100whp more it could get it in to the 14sec mark from 0-200km/h

I have half the cash now for the kit!

When I get it I will post up every damn race I did and film it in HD, I have many fast cars here ....Akrapovic E92 , modded E39's, E34 m5's , modded Z4M

Yeah, I know of no way of getting the vert to the same weight as a coupe and especially a CSL without removing a lot of the heavy reinforcement, and that wouldn't be smart. I think what those with 'verts have to realize is to enjoy the car for what it is, and what it can do given certain mods. At the end of the day, regardless of what you drive there's always something faster. Clearly, if you got the 'vert to make a race car out of it, you got the wrong car. Aside from the quality of ESS' products, one of the reasons I got the CFR setup is because of the torque, especially low-to-mid range. Getting its fat a$s moving is key! LOL.

Mike weighs around 225+ he told me

PMSL, Atkins FTW, I`ve been a steady 175-180 lbs for the last 3 mths now, so I must be faster. :craig:

I have some G tech graphs showing the difference between my std car, VT 450, VT 600 and a std Coupe if you want me to dig them out ?

Yeah it would be nice to see those graphs, thanks!

Thnks buddy, getting married next month so had to loose a few pounds. :)

Here`s a graph showing 4 average runs, some with the Vt450 were a little quicker (best 0-60 I saw was 4.9s, best 1/4 mile was 13.3 @ 107) all runs in my car are with the hood down.

Difference on my car with the 450 doesn`t look huge compared to stock or stock coupe but is growing more and more as the speed increases.

Black = Current tune
Red = VT450 `Vert
Blue = Std Coupe
Green = Std `Vert

Yeah I see your a second quicker from 0-120 then the coupe while your start was a little slower. by the time you reach 80-90 you start to gain on the coupe

since your 400lbs heavyer then a coupe with 100whp more that looks quite good cause a csl is only 1 second quicker then a stock coupe from 0-200km/h with +- 160-180kg (350lbs) less

I have read in a thread on M3 forum done with Vbox runs that 2 M3's with equal weight needs 35whp to gain 8m or 2 carlenghts on the other one.

I'm very curious what it will do against my buddies E92 Akrapovic, he has 440hp/435Nm @ 1610kg and PULLS like an animal! he put 5-6 lengths on my buddies stock 390hp E39 M5 from 50-200km/h and kept pulling away!
