I found this turbo on ebay, and the price seems pretty good for 8psi. What do those who actually know what they're talking about think of it?

After you factor in the cost of an exhaust and a tune, you're probably really close to the price of the TT kit, and we know that one actually works.

What is the full name of the TT kit (that is, so I can look it up)? Thanks.

I think the intercooler is on the small side if you wanted to up the boost down the road. The end tanks are poorly designed too. The intercooler piping is laughably convoluted and long. The turbo itself is on the cheaper side, but probably ok. The exhaust manifold doesn't look too bad. But most of all is that it will still need tuning.
TT's kit is a lot better (and includes tuning). It'll probably actually cost you less in the long run too.

i've seen that setup before, it's actually an e36 turbo kit from brazil.
The biggest issue with its design is the horrible tract of the turbo-to-intercooler piping. That's an inordinate amount of piping. And tuning would be a nightmare.
The distance from the MAF to throttle body is over 5 feet, compared with TT at 12 in, max. Boost leaks would destroy the tune and would be hell to fix.
