I remember talking to HPF and they said they tested all the single pipe midpipe upgrades and they all made less power then a OEM dual pipe system. They told me the dual pipes flowed better with their turbo kit. I dont know if that one is a custom piece that has bigger pipping than the aftermarket options that are available but I would talk to HPF first unless you dont care about the power loss. Thats why I just straight piped my OEM section 2 peice for more air flow.

Correct! and I made a huge post about nothing beats dual piping and that there are very few exhausts that are FI/HPF friendly, the stock OEM(good flow but heavy), Agency Power, Milltek, and El Diablo Track.

ahhh... i guess that means i lose a couple of hp with the exhaust closed. What about with it open?

I'm not sure that turbo spool can be called whine can it? And does the wine become louder with cutouts? Or does the entire thing just get really loud? Do you not hear spool with the exhaust in?

Nice piece, I hope it does what you want it to.

Here is my car with a custom 4inch piping full exhaust- notice you hear a lil turbo wine in the beginning (parking lot).

It's all about the piping of the midpipe, 60mm twin piping seems to be forced induction friendly as seen with exhausts with that piping. Some sport exhausts had twin 50mm which yielded a loss in power and spool...update:

I've read on Rogue Engineering's website that the EVC Midpipe splits into one 76mm pipe which is 3.01 inches, great for forced induction. If anything it seems like you'll have a minimal loss of power if any since the big single pipe is 3inch FI friendly. :D The reason my original response stated a loss of power is because many other X pipes dropped piping to 50mm or so, this is not the case with yours. You seem good to go.

i'm running this on my stg2.5 right now

don't know if i made more or less power with this pipe, but my dyno sheet looks pretty good (almost 15whp more than the 2.5 on HPF's website)

Like I stated in my post and RE's website, the single pipe is 3 inches so it's definitely FI friendly. :D

I've never heard that before. Even when my car ran open downpipe. what causes that sound?
