I finally am installing a stereo and was wondering if i could have a seperate radio run my system. I have Nav and i dont want to get rid of it. Is there any way that they could put a seperate radio so that the system will play out of that??? I currently have 2 sets of the new Q Series fron and back and two JL audio 12in.no amps for now but probably go with Phoenix Gold:D I know it would sound alot better with another radio so i need to know if i can do 2?

You probably have a secondary aux input/output pair on your nav brain. Check there first. You could still run your second set of speakers out of that. No need for two radios.

Yeah, the two radio thing is possible. It's really a good thing to do if you want better sound quality and want to retain the lovely nav unit. You can use the bmw-pla adapter to convert output sound from the stock headunit the the RCA auxillary inputs of an aftermarket unit. This way you can still get nav voice prompts and use the factory unit if you want. But, you could play CDs and such through your aftermarket unit to get that nice high-quality sound.
