I still have this in the design process, but you can expect it to be cast aluminum and plumbed for additional port injection as well as alcohol injection.

Heard about this yesterday, wasn't sure if it was sensitive info or not. Now lets see how much the block can handle.

Being that the N54 uses direct injection, I'm assuming the additional injectors hint at a MASSIVE power upgrade. (Beyond the capability of the DI system) Very exciting!
Very nice manifold rendering as well.

that manifold looks great. this is slightly ot, but on the topic of massive power upgrade, doesn't the n54 have a 2 piece crankshaft? Seems like this would definitely need to be replaced if there was enough power to need additional injectors beyond the di.

isn't putting these renders out so soon in the design phase bad for business? competition could be watching :dunno:
either way very cool...cant wait to see numbers...HP not cost...lol

Stock system caps out at around 400wheel, which is about where the stock turbos are done as well.

It's not like they are the first to do it, and it's been anticipated that someone would for some time.

IIRC there were less then a handful of tuners that created custom fabbed kits utilizing a custom manifold and a single larger trim turbo but they couldn't get the tuning finished/completed..and this was about over a year ago

but will it blend?
looks awesome. predicted gains?

VK Motorwerks, ASR Engineering and AMS Performance have developed a full turbo upgrade. But I believe they have taken a different route from HPF.
The ASR TT upgrade has been completed, using twin GT Garrett Ballbearing turbos @ 26Ibs vs stock @ 13Ibs.
I think the HPF kit will top the other tuners as they have taken a more extensive route, not just a turbo swap with a tune.
Super excited to see what the furture holds for the HPF 335I!! Looks like it will be a winner for sure. HPF FTW :woot:

This will raise the bar as far as the potential of the motor goes. The port fuel injection will support more than the current setup can now at ~430whp with the stock turbos. This coupled with a turbo upgrade will certainly yield big power. But it's kind of a first for real performance aluminum 6 cylinders. It reminds me of a honda motor, open deck. But at least it has steel sleeves. I wonder if the open deck or two-piece crank design will become a hindrance of strength.

I don't think ASRs were pumping out 26 pounds, they only made something like 450 with meth as supplemental fuel.

I do not follow the e9x developments as much, so my post was simply based on what I read previously. However, the below was posted Feb, 2009, the configuration of the kit may have been modified since then. So, i'm not quite up to date. If however things have changed, please by all means correct me. :) :)
Our ASR TT upgrade is completed and has been on our shop car for over a week now with no issues. At this point the car is completely bone stock other than the turbo upgrades. We will begin programming next for max gains.
These upgrades are twin GT Garrett Ballbearing turbos that flow 26lbs/min vs stock turbos at 13lbs/min. This kit will bolt on just like the factory turbos with no modifications involved at all.

That's flow rate not boost. They are running like 19psi max.

Very nice piece.
I think it 's pretty funny that the fuel injectors/fuel rail were included....but seeing as it's a trial fitment piece, it makes sense to include them.
