EDIT: I was reading your coolant level thing under the maintenence and u say to use distilled water...I used tap water, is that bad?:dunno:

How much tap water did you use? Did you drain the block and then refill it with BMW coolant mixed with tap water? Or did you just use the tap water to top off the coolant reservoir?
I would guess that a little tap water would be ok... although it's not the best thing for your engine. But it's definitely not a good thing to use tap water to refill the radiator.
