I just upgraded my steering wheel to smg retrofit kit, anyways and I took off my sport triangle steering wheel, Im selling it with the triangle airbag. the steering wheel has all multifunction buttons and its in perfect condition. I had it in the car since 00, but it doesnt have any scratches or anything. Im asking $450 for wheel and airbag.
let me know if interested. I'll post up some pics this weekend.

I'm interested, but I need to call my local bmw to see if this will work with my 1999 323i...I only have the non-sport steering wheel w/o the multifunction buttons....if so, I'll take it!!

I know the steering wheel will work, but I dont know about the multifunction buttons.

wheel should definately work, but the buttons most likely won't since it wasn't wired for them. He'll know as soon as he removes his current wheel if there is no place to plug in the controls.

if i do it my self, is the installation is more like "plug & play" ?? meaning not hard!!

its really easy to install the wheel, the only problem is that I dont think your car is wired for the multifunction buttons on the wheel. Check with the dealer weather your car is wired. As far as the wheel, that would work fine. Its really easy to install.

I have a 2001 325i sedan with the 4 spoke steering wheel. How hard is it to change it to the 3 spoke since I will have to change the airbags? I've seen the DIY, but it seems these are for people with the 3 spoke sport wheel and want to put on an M3 wheel- the already have the circular airbag? Is this a DIY mod or should I bring the steering wheel and airbag to a dealer?

I'm interested in buying thw wheel, but how easy is it to do?

Thanks

It's DIY plug in play job. The only problem that you may run into is the center bolt, which is impossible to remove using hand tool. Had to use a aircompressor to do the job.

On the 4 spoke wheel, there are torque bit behind the steering wheel. Loosen those, the airbag will drop right out. Disconnect the connectors. Remove the center bolts, take out the steering wheel. Pop in the new wheel, tighten the center bolts (forgot it is 80lb or 70). Reconnect the connectors (color coded, i can't remember, but it's very easy). Pop in the airbag. Then you are done.

It should take less than 20 minutes if you have the right tool or strength to take out the center bolt.

Please make sure before you do this, unplug the battery, and make sure your are grounded. YOU DO NOT WANT SRS TO DEPLOY. Also, do not plug in the battery until you have complete your install. otherwise you will have to go to dealer to reset your SRS light.

that was extremely helpful! I'll definitely look into it. The M wheel is such a great look- beats the absolute hell out of my 4 spoke.

Hello,

I am interested! Now I need to make sure I have money, if only my federal return would make it to me I might be able to have money lol. Pretty sad I have spent myself down to waiting for my tax return. ANyhow if you would not mind PM me what you want for this and I will see if that is feasible for me I appreciate that.

not only it looks better. The grip is a huge upgrade.

The round M steering wheel are much thicker than other wheels, smaller diameter as well.
