Moderator: couldn't figure out whether this belongs in DIY or ICE, please feel free to move as appropriate... :dunno:
Here (http://www.mattmcnulty.com/325xi/DIY/aux_input.html) is the DIY I just wrote for the AUX input adapter. This is my first attempt at a DIY, so please let me know any feedback, positive or negative. I was dealing with some pretty crappy lighting conditions in my garage in my building, so the interior car shots had to use the flash which isn't the greatest for detail.
I think it is pretty much all there. I tend to get wordy, so it looks more complex than it is. Someone that knows what they are doing with the interior trim, the glove box, and a drill could probably do this in under an hour. It took me less than 2 and I was stopping every few seconds to take pictures.
For now it is the only thing in that portion of my site, I will add an index page and _maybe_ another DIY for the OBC retrofit if there is interest.
If you guys that intend on using it right away could email me before and after, that would be great, so I can coordinate support on my end, and so we can make sure it is totally accurate.
